If you are watching DJs Aviation on KZbin, a same topic with similar concept was featured. It was involving the LCC Ryan Air operating the A380. There are advantages like More seats = more profit Cover cosiderable long haul routes. But the disadvantages are To fill 800+ pax up to 80% is quite hard. Most of Ceb Pacs flights are short hops. At most 5 airports in the Philippines can accommodate the aircraft (including Gen San). Let's say that Ceb managed to fill the aircraft, the immense weight of the aircraft may cause pot holes on the runway. And the business model offered by Ceb Pac was againts the business model offered by aircraft which was intended for full service carriers that has 3-4 cabin classes.

I know that the low-cost carrier Cebu Pacific will operate the A380 and will add key destinations in North America such as Chicago, Los Angeles, New York JFK, San Francisco, Seattle, Toronto and Vancouver and also Auckland in New Zealand; are all non-stop direct flights from and to Manila. We are looking forward to fly to these said places by next year.

They will not order an A380. If regular A380 flights were to happen, it will cause a lot of delays and inconvenience.
@zedriclouis874 жыл бұрын
CebuPac can't fill the said seats. If they were to expand to North America, their best option is an A350 just like what PAL operates to its destinations in North America.

The problem isn’t the capacity, it’s the demand. Can Cebpac really fill those 800 seats? We know that Ceb has a lot of flights to Singapore and HK daily, so if a passenger has the option of going to a destination at a friendlier time, why would he choose to go for the early morning/late in the evening flight?
@dalegloriane45285 жыл бұрын
frdrcklim, and yeah, i’d think tickets would be more expensive if A380’s were to be used at regular flights to international routes.

The capacity is depending on how many passengers, All A380 operators only seats their A380s 400-650 seats
@CoddiwomplingMiguel6 жыл бұрын
I think if Cebu Pacific makes a premium economy with good seats (think AirAsia X or Norwegian - LCCs with premium economy) and if they can get direct flights to North America - this would be feasible. Plus they could charge wifi too as they don’t have IFEs.

The A380 is only for HUB-HUB flights like EK, EY, SQ, BA, etc.. 5J can be a hub carrier but only for domestic routes, so it's a big NO.

No Cebpac can’t handle these A380s, and they should start ordering 773 or 777-9x from Boeing. Remove their ATRs The Mactan Airport can’t handle A380 for sure
@howy56455 жыл бұрын
I think Cebu Pacific will not just easily buy a Boeing because the airline best selling company is Airbus

@zedriclouis874 жыл бұрын
Why remove the ATRs? They serve domestic routes na kadalasang paborito ng mga Pilipino since LCC si CebuPac. If they remove those, ano na sasakyan ng mga budget flyers?

Can cebu pacific handle an a380, no, because these airline doesn't have any first class, business class or, neither premium economy cebu pacific doesn't have whole tv seat but the passengera only fly the small airline to full that little air line and the passengers of a380 here at philippines can't handle it because passengers are only few and they cant complete the a380

Don’t think it’s practical for a low cost carrier to purchase an A380. Also A380s are discontinued now
