What people need to understand is that the Disney shareholders are a constant variable in all the "equasions" of businesses in modern times. The same people who baught all goods industeries and brands under a single company holdings, like Nestle, Craft Foods, all drinks under PEPSI or Coca Cola, all clothings, all tech, all cars automobiles, all theme parks and tourism businesses and services (small theme parks get nocked out with lawsuits, then get bankrupt, then baught out or canceled), same with other industeries, all toys under Mattel or Hasbro, all games under Activision (then probably will be baught by Disney, all planned out), The shareholders are using Disney after aquiring it from the Disney family, with the Mickey Mouse face as a symbol, as a brand for all American entertainment and media, so they will keep buying everything, and condensing it all under one icon. :^) Disney is now buying rights to all books published left and right IMMEDIETELY too! Even before the authers grow more knowledgable about the type of copyrights they are signning. :-)

This is extremely worrying to me as someone who plans to release novels and media based off those novels. I don't want some punk billionaire just swooping in and saying "this is mine now!" Any true passion that comes from these creators gets ripped away from them if their creation is even mildly successful or revealing in some way. It's all in the name of propaganda and controlling the masses! Disney can't have people thinking they can go out and make this shit too! P.S. I would like to create art and focus on my work rather than wasting all the mental energy on the legalities of whether or not the art can be ripped from my hands and have some other dickheads name slapped on it.

@@tonymedness5033, don't worry, please grow more knowledgable about your copyrights when creating any form of creative work or elements of entertainment, whither books, stories, music, games, pieces of artworks or paintings, poetry, etc. It is not hard. Copyright law (as well as trademark law) is very easy. This is the only thing you can do to arm yourself with against the big corporations who are gubbling up everything. Never sign any rights away without knowing what you are singning. Always try to self finance any art or creative project or use fund raising, or use good investors with clear contracts that ends with you keeping your rights, or huge part of it. Many people did it and still are doing it. Even in the Animation industry since the 80s. Books are easy to protect, untill you plan to do other creative works based on your book and need financing, then pay attention to what you really wanna do.

I do not think Disney will ever buy Universal either. Walt Disney started the Walt Disney company because Universal took the rights to his Oswald the Lucky Rabbit, and after watching this video, it is kind of reassuring to realize that Walt Disney Studios can not really own everything, since it has a history of baggage with the other major film studios.

Disney can never buy anything else because one they spent billions of dollars to buy fox. Two there the king of content. Three if they try to buy another big studio or media conglomerate then they'll violate monopoly rules and fcc, the government is not gonna allow disney to buy everything. Four they've spent billions of dollars to set up and build disney plus and espn plus. Five bob iger has already retired and stepping down as ceo of the walt disney company. And six if they keep buying stuff they'll be consequences in the future meaning the disney empire will fall and will lose billions, billions, billions, and billions of dollars cause they can't afford to pay for there employees and they have debt and taxes to pay off. They don't need anything else they have touchstone, abc, espn, freefrom, the disney channels, the muppets, pixar, marvel, lucasfilms, bam tech, national geographic, hulu, star plus, and 21st century fox. So basically that's enough for them. If anything they should buy or build an island to expand Disneyland & resorts.

out of these Disney buying Paramount probably makes the most sense if they do buy more which is iffy. Out of these the 2 that will probably be acquired sooner or later are Paramount and Collumbia pictures but I low key hope Disney buys WB cos it would be the funniest thing ever

Wow, I am first! I am surprised nobody else who watched this video commented before me. I want and NEED our government to have stronger, more enforced anti-trust laws to stop Disney, AT&T and other mega-corporations like them from buying and owning any more stuff. The government should no longer favor the few powerful people in our corporations, but listen to the many average citizens who hold just as much power together with their combined middle-class wages to lobby against monopolies.
