I have several colorful tattoos on my arms and legs and I’m working on a side piece right now. If you can cover them with a long sleeve top and tights, i think you should be able to get hired at any airline. Ink doesn’t keep you from being able to save someone’s life on a airplane or serve them properly. I have excellent customer service skills and have wanted this career for years. I feel incredibly discouraged by this policy. 😔

On swim day tattoos are ok , they allow u to cover it with clothing. There’s people that did the full ditching in leggings, socks, long sleeves etc 🙂

First of all NEVER enroll in an academy. Airlines don’t care about that because every airline goes through their own training. This particular airline I’m talking about is Delta ... u don’t need to go to school to become a flight attendant

I was offered the CJO!! I disclosed my tattoos and was just told as long as I always keep them covered, that’s ok. I use tattoo sleeves under my uniform and long sleeves :)

Honestly no idea, might depend on airline too but if this is something you really want to do, you can always try, otherwise you might always have the what if! I’d definitely say cover them for the interview for sure though

Wish I would have looked at this before I went lol. I didn’t get through my interview because they asked about tattoos. Even though it wasn’t detectable at all. I was honest and they asked me to go wash off the makeup and take off my watch 🙃

When I did my Cabin Crew training you did not wear a bathing suit or bikini you jumped in with clothes on. Like leggings and a t-shirt/top. I believe is to make it more realistic and to make sure you can also carry the weight of normal clothes as well as yourself.

If possible go to a costume shop and ask for the tattoo make up they use on production sets. I’d use dermablend and the Tattoo Make up (which has different shades of brown to blend) to cover mine. It never came off, even on pool day.

I did a F2F with this "best airline in the world" and I was truthful about my quarter size or smaller tattoo on each wrist. They were hidden by my long sleeve shirt. I was not selected. I definitely believe that was the reason. A flight attendant come up to me asking me additional questions that I didn't see her do to anyone else, so I was most definitely being considered. If I make it to another F2F the answer will definitely be no. They will be covered up with makeup and noise-less bracelets.
