Can Freestylers Beat The Rank Above Them?
Freestylers in Rocket League generally don't try that hard to rank high or climb the Rocket League ranked ladder, so they generally possess the ability to beat ranks higher. BUT this has never been proven, so I decided to get 3 differently ranked freestylers and have them 1v1 normal ranked Rocket League players 1-2 ranks above them to see if they can beat them. Freestylers dont worry much about boost management when it comes to freestyles. and its ESPECIALLY hard in 1v1s because if you mess up once, its an open net. I feel like a rematch needs to be done where either both people need unlimited boost? or The Freestylers get unlimited boost and the TryHards get regular :P

Next time, if Rigid actually trys to win the score might be closer. he might be a freestyler, but this was supposed to be a tryhard 1v1, and it was not. Its was a SSL tryharding vs a gc2 freestyling, ofc the gc2 is gonna get absolutely destroyed

That’s the problem with a lot of freestylers, they are so conditioned to play a certain play style that they actually have a higher effectiveness with the ‘freestyle’ play style compared to if they played like a tryhard. That’s why it’s always so tough to gauge their rank
