Can GameCube Play Other Mini-Disc's?

It doesnt spin because theres a little barcode scanner in front of the laser lens. It checks for the existence of part of the barcode contained inside the Burst Cutting Area on gamecube discs. If non is found it wont even bother spinning the disc to read it. And will behave like you inserted no disc at all. On un-modded gamecubes at least.

On a not hacked gamecube can: only read original gamecube discs with has the 5 lines and the BCA (Burst Cutting Area), if one of the anti-piracy watermarks is not in the disc, the game won't boot. And if you try to insert a original copy on any disc reader that is no the gamecube, it won't recognize and won't boot, it will be like you inserted nothing. Since these discs are a custom disc format

100% knew it wasn't going to read a mini CD-ROM formatted for Windows. 🤦‍♂️ A better experiment would've been to test a mini DVD as that's what Gamecube discs essentially are. And probably a better chance of it recognizing a mini DVD movie or even an audio CD-ROM rather than a Windows formatted disc.

Bruh do all mini discs like that have barcodes on the bottom of the discs. I thought that only the gamecube games would have up cause that was one of nintendo's anti piracy measures.

Do you mean the barcode on the area of the disc that contains the internal name of the game? That's not the barcode the GameCube reads. The actual barcode is barely visible further out on the disc. You may need special lighting to see it.
