After reading the bible the only conclusions that I can come to is that this life will bring suffering, but God is always there, he will never leave us , he will give us the strength to get through suffering and at the end we will have everlasting life and peace with him for the ones who believe in him and have faith. My understanding so far is God does not always give us what we ask for because we sin, because it is not time yet or because it is not for our highest good/not in his plans for us. Suffering brings perseverance and suffering bring us closer to our faith and to him and being closer to him is a good goal in life because everything else in this life is temporary.
