Can Godskin Duo Slay ALL Demigods? - Elden Ring

In this elden ring video I'm testing whether the godskin duo are actually able to defeat any of the demigods and fullgods in the game in a boss vs boss fight.
According to the elden ring lore, Godskins were led by the gloam eyed queen, as she controlled Destined Death. Before Destined Death was taken and guarded by Maliketh the Black Blade, these Godskin people with their Queen sought to kill the deities with their Black Flame. This predates the Night of the Black Knives and may have been the first conspiracy against the deities in elden ring.

I'd say that the Mohg fight wasn't entirely correct. The godskins are 100% weak to bleeding, which is stacked immensely in mohgs Nihil and in general with his blood toss. But the godskins didn't proc a single time with bleed. I'm not 100% sure, but if his Nihil would trigger at least one bleeding, he might have won.

Maliketh can kill you faster than you can heal, death debuff is just a monster Thats why he can kill malenia even with her health regen

@@gustavokeyna3506 Malenia might be Powerful. But the truth, she is quite docile. In her first phase, she not actively fighting you. In her second phase, she became more active but whenever she released the Bloom, she became an easy target and due to long animations, you can literally took 2/3 of her health when she was in the flower. So for any boss that would actively fighting her in when she stunt inside the flower, can easily kill her because rot DOT from Bloom isn't strong at all.

This really manages to put into perspective how awful that roll attack is. You can even see how much it *literally does not stop if it doesn't connect,* which is total horseshit. Ultimately a lot of the fights the Godskins won were basically won off the back of the roll and the roll alone; I think this is also a big part of why they fared a lot better against the Elden Beast post-Radagon than they did with no Radagon, as the Noble was already in second phase. I think also a big thing is the Godskins... don't really seem to take much of any hitstun? It seems an awful lot like they basically either facetank hits without flinching or are staggered, with no in-between, which is pretty unusual for enemies their size. It's like they have a shitzillion poise.

The roll normally appears to lose momentum each time it hits a player, but a lot of bosses don't seem to have this effect, so the Godskin Noble can roll for like 20 seconds.

That roll is so important when Elden Beast's slash interrupted it that fight was over, they definitely could of won that. There is such a huge difference in results depending on if Skinny or Rolly gets target first. Crazy how much stronger Placi is in phase 2, the got him there easily then got flattened. What we've learned today: Rollerball definitively carries That being said, the big problem I see, every single time, is that bosses are not programmed to avoid huge AOE with gigadamage. That was what killed the ganksquad (the 10 Black Blade assasins) against Radahn and Malenia.

Yeah, that's a problem for sure, but you have to admit the Radahn Meteor Masher killing 10 Black Blades was pretty damn cool. I'd even risk calling it lore accurate, because Radahn would definitely have done that given the opportunity.

That would be because they were scaled to their spiritcaller cave versions, as stated at the beginning of the video. Those ones are immune to all status effects (as they are spirits, and status immunity applies to every spirit type enemy in the game) and while the ones in the video may not be spirits, they would be scaled to have the same status resistances, which happens to be immunity.

@@luxerd182 I am not sure about Spirit being immune... But I do use Rot Breath to beat the Cave Caller version. I can't remember if the it's did any DOT but they do take a massive amount of damage from Rot Breath. I was too busy trying so survive, so I really didn't notice the DOT Status by Rot.

The Duo's biggest weakness is their zombie fight IQ. Just like in a real fight, you can't stand in place and trade toe to toe with a literal beast who outweighs you. You need to stick and move and save the best attacks when you have openings.

Some fights are really RNG. For example, in Maliketh fight he didn't used pillars, if he used them, he would've won. And, of course, testing Rick might be good.

The lore implications of the gods kin duo winning to maliketh is pretty huge if you think about it. The godskins were at farum azula to take the destined death back from maliketh. If they were actually able to beat him. That would mean that they without a doubt would be able to kill marika/ radagon and the elden beast and bring about their own new age.

The game literally points out that maliketh defeated their god, the Gloam-Eyed queen and sealed away the blackflame’s power, meaning that godskins can’t kill gods anymore. Maliketh only lost here because he started out as Gurranq and not full health bar Maliketh, that would destroy them both lmao

It's interesting that the Elden Beast, which is so easily defeated by players gave Godskin Duo such a hard time. I think it's because it's moves are so easy to dodge from the perspective of a player, but if you choose not to dodge at all (like Godskin duo) you get demolished by his attacks. That battle was the first time I appreciated Elden Beast as a boss.

I appreciate your description at the start explaining the workaround to the Godskin Duo boss fight mechanics only working in their arena. That said, I'd be interested in a future video where bosses small enough to work properly in the Godskin Duo arena can face the OG Duo there. By the way, is there a reason why the Duo didn't start where the player does in the Radahn fight? Also, it seems some bosses don't activate the Noble's "landed a hit, lose momentum" effect on his roll either, hence the mega long rolls akin to being stuck on a pillar.
