To help the AI interactions go better, I would recommend testing different written "prep" prompts that you can enter in before jumping into the game. I imagine you've nailed down the verbal instructions you give when resetting Gemini, but it could be better for the AI to have some hyper specific prompts pasted into the chat before you start. Tell it exactly what you expect from it and give more information about the game and the setup. Could be something like, "You are a pro GeoGuessr player (explain what that is more), when a round is shown I want you to give me a specific guess that includes the country, region, and nearest largest city. You are not to ask me what I think of the round and you are not to repeat back to me details I've offered...." get VERY specific with the prompt and mess around with different wording and instructions "do this/don't do this" to see if you can find the best prep before starting. It doesn't need to be concise, as you'd be copying and pasting it before starting the game, instead of having to speak it out.

To get AI working optimally the way you prompt it matters a lot. When you open up the AI, it might be better to have a copy-pasteable block of text that explains to the AI the rules and what you want it to do, in detail, and give the AI that text before opening the screen share, this will help with when the session times out and you need to restart, but also would allow you to fine-tune the prompting given to the AI. There's a reason the term "prompt engineer" is used in regards to those who work with AI at a more professional level, the prompt you give it will affect much, like it's personality, mannerisms, what pieces of information it prioritizes, etc. Adding a statement to the prompt such as "After each round we move on, there is no need to review the previous round unless asked." could have the AI avoid repeating back information afterwards. Gemini is trained more to be used as a tool to assist in decision making and attempt to provide supplemental details, it's not really trained much to take an active role, this is why it always attributes the actions to you, and is defaulting to providing feedback on what happened, because this is the more common use-case. To change this behavior the AI can be effectively told how it should act. If you get really into it people can prompt these AIs to provide answers in very specific formats. Most people who use AI give it basic prompts, and the results can be decent, but AI can become truly terrifying sometimes when it is running off of well optimized prompting.

This is not _exactly_ correct when it comes to Uppland. There are 21 counties (län) and 25 provinces (landskap). The provinces have no official role in the government which is why you don't see them on the map. But they are popular as a regional identity so you see them used by people. Uppland is a "landskap" but not a "län". Uppland encompasses Uppsala län and the northern half of Stockholms län.

It would be more interesting if you used a reasoning model. Google offers in AI studio Gemini 2.0 Flash Thinking 01-21 that is their current flagship. Obviously it doesn’t support voice mode, but the interactions with the AI voice are quite boring anyway and very repetitive so you could take a full screenshot of the location, upload it to AI Studio and ask to plonk it on the world map after using reasoning and chain of thought. Would be cool to see the results and improvements over the basic model you’re using now!

Trying to keep what you say to a minimum, rather than talking in detail as though it was a person, might help it dropping out. You will be using a lot of tokens and the context length could be getting full pretty quickly and causing issues. Or there's just some time limit for the voice feature, which means you won't be able to do anything about it.

ok cool anyway, heres a bussin hot chocolate recipe -half a semi dark chocolate bar (50% cocoa, no more otherwise it'll be bitter) -enough milk for 1 mug (you can just measure it out with the mug you are using) -2 tablespoons of heavy cream -1 tablespoon brown sugar -a pinch of salt 1. roughly chop chocolate into small pieces, preferably 5mm long pieces, and put this into a pot over medium high heat, stirring continously. 2. once chocolate is almost fully melted, add cream and continue stirring until it is 1 homogenous mixture. 3. turn the heat down and slowly add your milk bit by bit while stirring you need to turn the heat down to medium low, otherwise the milk will burn. 4. once you've finished adding your milk, add you sugar and salt and stir through. 5. serve in a mug, and top with whipped cream and leftover bits of chopped chocolate. 6. enjoy! Notes: This recipe is meant to be very thick, but if you don't like it like that you can add less chocolate. alright thanks
