@@DagoDuck Imitating seer isn't that hard, because he has a simple playstyle, but imitating his precision is quite hard. Fake kickoffs, dribbling and high flicks, plain air dribble and simplistic side flip resets on the ball, instant challenges and applying a lot of pressure with backflips, bumps and immediate touches. Quite easy, but mimicking his precision and perfection in all of that could be a hard task even for pros. There are people who can play like a seer (lethamyr have actually very close playstyle to them, but he is not mechanical enough to mimic it perfectly), but you can probably count them on your fingers.

Also ive encountered the same issue with seer being worse after the first one (not with seer but with other bots like nexto). When this happens I just close RL and the rlbot gui and then open them again. and that typically fixes the issue. its a pain but works none the less.

So, if you look at the kick off situation and you actually think about it, Seer allows a potential equal non-AI to go. If you are back by the goal and Seer is at an angle from corner boost, Seer will go. If you are both at an angle, Seer will not go because human can go. If you are both by the net no matter which position, Seer will not go because human can have a potential good kick off. Seer also plays best when given a bit of space, will try to pass if the human has a decent shot, and will begin to rotate back at the first sign of a threat. Seer stutters actions because humans put in so many small actions that the AI needs to adjust and it only knows to adjust to the extreme. Seer is well coded. To get the best out of Seer though, you have to understand how it works and adapt.

From my observation the bot playes like the regular RL bots so if you take point it will back off thats why it does not go for kickoff becaus you are boosting from kickoff and ita trying to conserve its boost so it can play off of your move. If you want it to kick off you have to stay still or not boost till you have turned for the big pad. The bot can not make up plays on the fly it has to stick to its set plays and most of them are team plays. So if you are not ready for it's team play it defaults to controllong the ball but it cant make the move on its own unless it knows there is a free opportunity. So very often it just stays stagnant driving at the goal because you are not close enough for a pass. Also of you go into its bubble so to speak it thinks you want the ball and leaves it. You have to give it the space to work its plan but close enough to take the pass from him. It was the worst for rapid because he was always within feet of the bot and he always cheats on kickoff
