A thought occurs. What if instead of a strict allegiance run it was one brand per category? So if you chose Maliwan shields not only can you on equip shields of the Maliwan manufacturer, but you cannot select Maliwan as the manufacturer for any guns, or grenade/class mods. Finally you could do this sequentially for each character, meaning after one character selects Maliwan shields no other character can.

@@LFXGaming Nah, can't be much worse than the usual allegiance run. The real kicker is making it a marathon though, since while there are enough shields and mods for everyone there's only six gun types and all but pistols only have five manufacturers. Gotta pace out who gets what if you don't want anyone coming up short.

no malivan shield drops were because you can't get certain shield types below required level, and because only tediore makes shields that dont do anything special you couldn't find anything else all malivan shields are either nova or spike

All shields from the start have always been Tediore. I think other shield manifacturers appear when you get to sanctuary or at lvl something.

Yeah in all my years of borderlands I literally never realised, I never had to search for a specific manufacturer til this video so never remembered they were all tediore 😅

30:17 that challenge would be impossible, not just because of the legendary drop rate, but you quite litterly get a legendary as a quest reward within the eden 6.

So unfortunately, for a "Can I Beat Borderlands 3 Without Getting A Legendary" run, you'd be screwed over just by doing the main story - some story missions have Legendaries as their rewards.
