on that weird damage avoidance on the last giant; Firebombs hit twice sequentially on impact and splash. . You don’t usually notice it on bosses because in DS2 bosses only show the last done damage number, but if you compare it to a mob boss like the skeletons or magus you can see they usually do twice the damage that’s on the boss bar indicated. Another neat fact about firebombs is they are vulnerable. The player is actually able to bat firebombs back at NPCs. Now, I don’t know how that interaction works exactly when an NPC attacks YOUR bombs, but what looks like the most likely scenario is that your firebomb never actually made impact with the Last Giant. The shockwave of his stomp detonated the firebomb before it could hit, still causing the splash hit box to trigger.

I did a fisting run a couple years ago and instead of killing an npc invader for the ring, I used another console to farm red eye orbs at the pvp arenas then invaded myself before lsst giant 50 times. It took so fucking long but it was a fun run.

People diss on this game but it let you do so much with your builds. A ring that increases unarmed damage is huge and I go back to it more for all the unique items you can use

Surprisingly, the basic Longsword is one of the few unique straight swords out of all of the Souls games. Love how versatile its moveset is.

DS1 fist only is sort of possible with the dragon form doing much more damage with fists (around 300 dmg to taurus demon). The only problem is getting the dragon torso stone, because you need to farm the blue drakes in valley of the drakes for them to drop dragon scales. When I did it, I managed to kill one blue drake with my fists just to prove I could, then proceeded to farm the rest with the dragon head stone. I'm sure you can just get one dragon scale from behind the blighttown bonfire and use the interger overflow glitch to drop -999 of them too. Once you get the torso stone it's pretty easy from there.

26:18 The hitboxes in DS2 are actually super good a majority of the time, it's just ADP jank that makes them look off sometimes. There's a good deal of moves you can side step (or even jump over using Artorias' sword).

18:00 so the reason grab in DS2 look janky like that sometimes is because of the animation queue. Basically the grab animation can't start until after your hit stun animation has completed. So while it *looks* like you were grabbed well after his hand swiped, you actually got grabbed a lot earlier and the animation was just stuck in the queue.

Oh I had this build back on OG DS2. I had a character - based on Vanille from FF13 I don't know why - and she'd use the Butterfly set, and fists. Bit of Pyromancy for things like Poison Mist and Warmth and such. Was a fun character I remember fondly.

23:11 When will people actually learn how agility works? I am not mad, but I always suffer seeing people waste levels. For those, who don' t know, ADP doesn' t increase your I-frames, it increases your Agility (right side of atributes). AGL is also increased slightly by atunement. Your I-frames increase in intervals of agility, you can look up the exact values, I am not sure now. But 96 Agility is good enough.

I think 96 Agility grants DS1 light roll s. Any more than that and players have no excuse for blaming hit boxes since they're good like you said.
