One thing that could make this more challenging was to start with the Sorcerer class. It has the lowest base vitality, and would limit the usable weapons, at least in the early game.

I was about to suggest the exact opposite to enable as many weapons as possible idk which starting class has the highest dex but that would give you a chance of trying more things while staying true to the challenge

So fun thing about strength and magic builds is that dark sorceries is that these sorceries have a physical dmg component and scale fairly well with strength on the Manus Catalyst. Long story short my ng+ runs end up being str int runs like 90% of the time

Another great run! For future reference if ur planning to only ever 2 hand ur weapon there is little reason to level strength past 27 because of the immense diminishing returns u get, hopefully this will let u allocate levels more optimally in future runs that allow u to level other stats lol. Demon's greataxe or the dragon king greataxe are both worth the extra investment in strength, can you really call yourself a strength build if you only use the great club as your only weapon?

@@Afgdgdh some weapons will have a strength requirement higher than 27 to two hand but that doesn’t mean it’s worth the stat investment in an optimal dmg build and are just there for extra flavour. But remember regardless of what’s optimal just use what’s fun to u and enjoy the game ur way

My nephew and I are finally playing through DS1 together. I'd played it years ago, but his first experience was the remaster when it first came out. He hated it then, but now he's enjoying it. I'm realizing almost everything I thought was hard when I first played it... aren't. I just had no patience. Max strength really is the most fun way to play for me.

Dex is just fine in DS1 and 2. So are int and faity definitely. Strength is always like the easiest path though. Not that anything changes in DS3 and ER. Strength is busted despite what the strength mains will try to argue.

I think dark souls is considered hard because me and many others prefered to level dex but dex weapons suck unless you use a katana. Edit:Also hope you start doing dlc bosses as well.

-1, and for the reasonings why I minus 1 this video, number 1. 2 people cannot play 1 character, this is the first time I was introduced to this channel because it popped up into my recommendations and I love dark souls challenge runs, and 2. the second guy trying to sound heroic and mighty at the beginning of his introduction and through out the video for the construct of his character is/was cringe, if you are going to do a challenge run with a game that can only be done solo unless you are constantly on co-op which would not matter because you cannot co-op at the beginning of the game, give one person the whole dialogue of the video, considering now you are confusing people when you switch between two voices for one character, it makes no sense, are you two taking turns? or is one voicing over your lines of dialogue for you?
