Ayee let’s go. I entered Nukaworld at lvl 15 on survival and left lvl 35. The hardest place to clear was easily the bottling plant. Took me literally a few irl months to finish the DLC. Especially because the brotherhood hadn’t arrived yet and I chose the slog as my first raider outpost. I spent most of my time running back and forth lol Also pro tip: smoke weed while on the tram to pass the time Ok so I watched this in chunks so I just finished. Sad to see you go after just discovering you. Surprised you didn’t turn your own settlements into outposts so you could fight them and liberate them later on. You should start a modded playthrough

This DLC would be finished much quicker and easier with my simple 3 step guide: 1) Step off the tram. 2) Complete "Open Season". 3) Fun. Also, good on killing the Disciples. All the gangs are scum, but they're the worst.

When I go Open Season on the gangs, Disciples are my first targets. That ramp leading to the top where Nisha is acts as the best ever choke point. Drop a trail of Frag mines as you go up, merc Nisha, then wait for the few raiders who survive the mines to make it up to you

Personally found the Operators the worst. Guys, we're supposed to be *raiders:* You want to be glorified Mr. Krabs-level mercenaries, then go join the Gunners or Talon Compony. More Mad Maxing for the rest of us.

Far Harbor story is my favorite, but there's something cathartic about steamrolling the Commonwealth as a Raider Overboss that does put a smile on my face.

You can actually skip the raider radiant quests... If you feel like more or less trashing the entire DLC's story, and just treating the Nuka-raiders like every other raider up to that point. If memory serves, that just devolves into "Purge the raiders, turn on the power, you're done". There's not even a reason to do the other sections of the park then, I don't think.

@@Umbra_Ursus open season was a cool idea in theory, and tbh after 3 playthrough of nuka world, if you’re not playing it on survival and feeling the challenge, getting rid of the raiders is the way to go - for a good narrative I’d recommend replaying far harbour or the america rising or sim settlement story mods

well, for survival mode, nuka cola DLC isn't the hardest, it is only the hardest for normal mode, the hardest one for survival mode is automation DLC, because when they designed the final underground bunker map, they didn't had survival mode in mind, it is a very large map, yet it doesn't have a single bed alone the way. my only time that have to abandon a survival playthrough save is during that DLC, my character sleepy to death before he was able to enter the final battle room. things that you can kill, isn't hard. things that you can't kill but kills you, is hard.

There’s beds about 3/4 of the way through. In the long hall with patient observation rooms. There’s an elevator going down at the far end. It’s a long way in, and I’ll sometimes leave to go save.

Nope you made a lot of mistakes! Eating does restore health if you eat when you AREN'T hungry. Water restores health if you drink when you aren't thirsty. SOME chems make you thirsty, others make you hungry or tired! You do not have to go through the gauntlet. There's a small gap in the door at the start. Use Spray and Pray or an explosive and off goes the chain. Then you only have to do the last bit of the gauntlet. Every time you see a bed, mattress or sleeping bag rest and abort to save the game. You never hear people talking about basic things because they should be obvious. You get up at dawn, be home by sundown, sleep at least 7 hours a day eat clean food and drink purified water at least 3 times a day. Yes RADIANT SETTLEMENT QUESTS suck. That is very true. It's funny that you quit but you are right. You can accomplish pretty much all there is to do and not even be halfway to level 280+ where you have all the perks. By level 80 you can one shot everything with the right build so combat is no challenge. You missed a bunch of short cuts in Nuka World that mght have made things easier but you got there in the end using Problem Solver which is not as O.P. as you think it is so good for you.

Regarding skipping the Gauntlet, last I checked, you don't even need to use explosives to remove the chain. (It is possible this may have changed with the next gen update, so correct me if I am wrong)
