Fun fact: With the new Calamity update (2.0.4, Bountiful Harvest), the the new AI changes made the overall difficulty of Master Death higher than Infernum. Infernum still has more "wall" bosses, but less overall difficulty.

​@@meteorchrome122 The new Master Death mode isn't just beefy stats, it's also actual AI changes to the bosses compared to Expert Death mode. There's a major difference now. Like I said, Infernum has more "wall" bosses. Which when you factor into overall difficulty, all the other Infernum bosses drag down the difficulty. That's not to say Infernum isn't difficult, but it is to say that the difficulty of a certain mode does not completely depend on a single boss.

@@meteorchrome122 probably is easier to dodge. The thing about death master is you simply cannot get hit, so you better be dodging like a god. Everything hits insanely hard right from the start of the game, king slime does 180 with full warding accessories. The pretty bullet hells that chip you away for 70 a pop are cute on Infernum

not gonna lie, the master death mode AI changes are fuckin weird imo. I'm doing a run on it right now and the difficulty and progression is ALL over the place. The vanilla bosses in hardmode were absolutely insane compared to the calamity added ones, to the point where progression skipping (usually to the next modded boss) seems more natural than doing the bosses in order (looking at you skeletron prime trio). Moon lord is easier than golem, king slime is WAY harder than eoc, and doing hardmode nigh backwards is easier than doing it the normal way. Not even mentioning that post ML difficulty drops off so hard that it feels like just a victory lap. as much as this wacky ass run has been fun, i am NEVER going to repeat this stuff. if i want a challenge, i'll stick to infernum..

For anyone wondering why the Metanova gear is so OP for it’s stage of the game, it’s because Catalyst turns Astrageldon into a superboss meant to be fought pre moonlord. The loot is supposed to be that good for completing an extremely hard but fun fight :)

When will the ki class calamity playthrough be? I would love to see the custom animations you make for the video. And here's a tip i would personally use, get the weapons out mod to get the fist class so when you need to charge ki you can still do damage and live the true dragon ball experience. One more thing there are other mods that add more transformations like ssj4 and Lssj4.

Just so you know skeleton, solar veil are available after either calclone or plantera are beaten, you only need to kill one of those two to get solar veil, though mothron and other normal post plantera eclipse content still need plantera to be beaten

Lol You can’t blame the destroyer taking so long when you ignored the Kelvin Catalyst, a weapon which actually melts most HM worm bosses (Destroyer/Aq. Scourge). Honestly Kelvin Catalyst is usable up until Plantera, but is just kinda outclassed by the Spear of Destiny, which both get overshadowed by Phantasmal Ruin after Plantera, but that’s besides the point

The thing about infernum devour of gods is that once you learn how to properly dodge it, it becomes a very easy ish boss. That also applies to literally every other boss as well lol

I'd say that at least early on, master death mode is now harder than infernum, but I think infernum's dificulty curve is steeper so by endgame infernum is a lot harder (although I'm going mainly off videos for the endgame section since the last few infernum bosses are just way too laggy for me, and I've only recently started playing master death mode)

My first play through of calamity I wanted to do rogue since it was the new class and I already “beat” the game with the other classes so I played and the upgrade path of the crystalline to eventually the radiant star and so on was 100 percent without a doubt my favorite weapons and my favorite upgrade path I’ve ever done on terraria. I don’t know what it was about it but I just enjoyed playing with that weapon specifically
