Can I Beat Pokemon Scarlet using ONLY Gen 2 Pokemon?

I attempt to beat a Pokemon Scarlet hardcore nuzlocke using only the 100 pokemon native to gen 2's Johto region. Can I do it or will I lose?
This was defiantly the most stressful run yet so I hope you guys enjoy!

My favorite Johto Pokemon is a toss up between Espeon and Umbreon. Espeon is cute and has always been a good Psychic Pokemon for me to use and Umbreon has such a cool and slick design and has the ability to tank hits for days. Special shoutout to the Umbreon and Espeon from Pokemon Colosseum.

I did similar thing for my first playthrough of violet. I wanted to focus on mainly johto mons so I caught houndour to use as my starter. The only exception for the first half of the game was a full odds shiny pawmi I found.

My favorite Gen2 Pokemon are the protagonists starters in Pokemon Colosseum.. Espeon and Umbreon! Also uh.. Misdreavus, even though it wouldn't evolve until Gen4. It was fun just to have it in Colosseum.. since it was the only snaggable ghost type.

My favorite Pokemon from Johto, by far, is Feraligatr, and then Typhlosion, Scizor, and Magcargo. The obvious issue with third place being that I can't get access to one in Johto unless I trade over something in another version that has access to the post game. My other favorites are Gligar, Murkrow, Houndoom, Piloswine, Donphan, Skarmory, Qwilfish, Ursaring, Tyranitar, Yanma, and Stantler. Imagine how happy I was when most of these got evolutions or variants or both.
