Mate, your face on the tee following the 4 putt killed me. Not because I took joy in seeing your pain but because what you just did on that green, I have done so many times!!! 😂 “worse things happen in the world” but nothing cuts out your heart quite like that

I don't know why but it cracks me up when Rick's intro'ing the hole on the 18th tee and Guy steps into the camera view...and subtly forces Rick to discuss the four-putt on the 17th

Rick I have been gaming the EVNROLL ER2 since it was launched, UK golfer, 1 handicap. I know exactly what you are going through with the sometimes random strike directions off the ER2, especially on shorter putts. This past season I switched to the Mizuno M Craft number IV, pretty much exactly the same blade head shape, and I have to say the roll I get off the mizuno is just night and day compared to the ER2. I highly recommend you try it.

Fun video Rick! I think it would be a cool idea for you to film an on-course lesson w/ Robo while you're going through these swing changes to give golfers an idea of that process and how to work on things in real time on a course. Just a thought. Keep em comin' the Friday vid always gets my weekend off to a good start!

Great content as usual. Nice to see the human element come through with a couple of silly 4 putts from Rick and a couple of toppers from Guy. Thought you didn't give this course the respect it deserved and it felt like you thought it was going to be an easy short Ladies course... Lesson Learnt 🙂....keep up with the amazing work... ⛳....🏌

Well it IS a great video! What a tough course - knew that already from previous videos I’ve seen. Rick takes it all so seriously, but Guy makes me grin all the time (and sometimes LOL) as he’s always making fun of himself. Didn’t have a meltdown even though that’s easily the worst we’ve seen him putt! Respect that attitude! 👏🏼😎

One of Rick’s big issues even dating back to the course Vlogs with Finchy, are wedge distances. Some guys can feel in their distances from inside 100 yards, and others need to use the clock face or some other technique so they can lock in their distances. I feel like if Rick was giving himself a lesson he would for sure tell himself to use the clock face for yardages. Find it odd that he isn’t doing that.

It does my head in when you see youtube golfers rushing short putts and hitting them in with the back of the putter etc. It just a few seconds to do it properly so just do it lol. Part of me thinks they do it so they have an excuse for missing the short ones.

Rick, I'm 65 years old and about scratch now, but until my late 50's when I started losing distance, I was at my best a plus4 on a 6,900 yard course! I've tried the Martin Laird close to open swing a couple of times? It was hard to stay with this type of swing long enough 2 master! At times it felt like a revelation other time damnation? Laird made it work, maybe you can too? 1 thing I found that help me from GOING left was to swing on a little flatter path?

I know both guys said they didn't play well, and perhaps that's true. I feel like more than that this shows that a course doesn't need to be 7000+ yards to be a great challenge. I think a well layed out 6000 yard course can be incredibly fun and challenging. I live near Muskoka, Ontario in Canada and some of the short courses nestled into the forest can really punish your smallest mistakes.

Reminds me of my home course. It's only 6,000 yards off the back tees, but the course rating is 68.7 (Par 70). So to be a scratch golfer you have to shoot under par. I've only ever seen a couple of golfers go under par, trees everywhere, really slow greens. Would love to see a decent golfer take it on.

34:35 Rick when you do this and you are intentionally trying to get better at your wedge game. Just put another ball down and take a practice shot. Still play the original ball for the score, but give yourself the practice reps on course you need. Reps on course are the only way the wedge game will improve, so just understand you can just drop a ball immediately for a practice shot. Execute better, then play the original ball still. I am sure Guy would understand and not penalize you

Love it already. Short course does not always equals easy course, especially with that rough. Thanks for the excellent content. Question though: 2nd hole, Guy went OOB. Why was his provisional from the fairway his 4th shot?
@larsstehr597
@larsstehr597 Жыл бұрын
I guess the rule is that You drop from where You expected the ball to cross the OOB line, and You drop in 3, instead of playing a new ball from the tee which would be Your third shot. I think its rule 5 or 15 or something.
@peterb652
@peterb652 Жыл бұрын
His provisional off the tee was his third shot, because you are penalised stroke and distance for a lost ball/OOB. Thus his shot off the fairway using his provisional ball was his 4th.
