For those curious about the Tech Zed mentioned: If you didn’t know, the weapon banner does have a guarantee system for if you pull a standard weapon, where the next 5 star weapon you pull, regardless if you have a fate point, will be one of the limited 5 star weapons. So, by resetting the Epitomized Path and dropping the fate point, you have a chance at an easier time getting both weapons, where you manage to pull the opposite weapon from what Path is set for, and gaining the fate point back for the charted weapon. Otherwise the fate point is kinda wasted, as it’s going into the Epitomized Path weapon. Doing the tech is the same as doing it normally, but with a chance to get an extra fate point which can help you get both limited weapons

Here's some math for people to understand: If you pull the normal way on the weapon banner and want both weapons then at the worst possible luck you need 320 pulls- this tech cuts that down to 240 pulls

According to maths , if you’re unlucky and get a character c6 r5 but always hitting pity then it would be 990 fates or 1000 , and for two character c6 r5 it would be 1980 fates or 2000 so he was actually pretty lucky cuz he used 1630 instead of 1980

So in the beginning the whale tech he was referring to is if you loose to a standard weapon, you can switch your fate point to the other weapon. Since you are guaranteed the banner weapon if you get the other weapon you next weapon pull is the banner weapon also rather then loosing to the standard one.

I'm only 2 minutes in so I don't know if it gets explained in the video or not, but the weapon banner technique does make sense if you want both featured weapons. Once you get a standard weapon, the next pull is guaranteed to be a featured one whether you have the epitomized path set or not. If you cancel the path after getting a standard weapon, you clear your guarantee, BUT you're still guaranteed a featured weapon. So let's say, you set Mavuika's weapon first, but you get a standard one. Now you'd be guaranteed Mavuika's as per the epitomized path. BUT if you cancel it and set it again, you have the chance of getting Citlali's next AND a guarantee for Mavuikas. So that's 1 standard and 2 featured weapons in 3 five star pulls. Whereas if you don't cancel the path after getting a standard weapon, the next one is guaranteed to be Mavuika's, but the one after that has the chance to be another standard weapon, making it 2 standard and 1 featured 5 stars in 3 five star pulls. Because the weapon banner's pity system and the epitomized path work alongside each other, but they're not the same. Or at least this is how it should be.

The tech works because you are already guaranteed a banner weapon after pulling a standard, so if you need more than one of both weapons, you're actually wasting the fate point by not resetting. If you reset, you get a fate point and one of the weapons guaranteed, and then your next 5 star is guaranteed to be a banner weapon also. Otherwise, you risk getting an off-banner weapon again.

Y’all the math: 2000 intertwined fates (minus the 14K primos) = roughly 320,000 primogems Divided by. 6,490 ( the highest genisis crystals) = 49.38ish 49.38 x $99.00 = roughly, $4,888.88 My guesses on what Zed does in order to C6 characters, probably engineering team lead in comp science or something insane.

So from what I understand this wishing tech only applies to whales trying to get both weapons R5 since there are two options when doing the fate point cancel. Option 1: You lose to a standard weapon so you cancel the fate point and then the next 5 star you get will be the weapon you set a path for. Option 2: You lose to a standard weapon so you cancel the fate point and then don't get the 5 star you set a path for. There is no option 3 which would be losing to another standard weapon. Canceling the fate point after losing to a standard weapon gives another chance to lose the 50/50 to the other weapon which would end up saving wishes since if you lose 2 50/50s in a row that means that in 3 5 stars you get 2 that you want rather than needing to go to guarantee both times which would result in 2 weapons you wanted in 4 5 stars. However, I think the odds of getting both 5 stars in only 3 tries is the same regardless of if you cancel the point or not for normal folk but for whales who will keep pulling it gives more opportunities to save wishes if they ironically get lucky and lose 50/50s

That "secret technique" is not that secret. If you get a standart weapon on a weapon banner next one is guaranteed to be a featured one(just like 50/50 on characters), cancelling epitomized path just resets points count meaning you can lose once more but now for featured weapon.
