Great Videos!!! I'm a 34 year Johnson & Evinrude tech specializing in small motors from 2 to 50 h.p.. I love everything about them! Good to see someone else taking up the cause! Two stroke motors especially J. & E. motors, are NUMBER ONE!!!!!

I'd like to comment on the condition of those engines - both before and after the fabulous repairs. I organize and run a training for the Naval Sea Cadets that involves a lot of boating. In years past, we have spent nearly half the "training time" trying to get our motors running. Not this year. The engines were in superb condition and greatly contributed to the best training we've run in the last 7 or 8 years!

@@nabox1435 I mean there is some truth to it. Older stuff has more hours, which makes them less reliable than new stuff, which usually has less hours. Also now all the major outboard brands are all reliable, where 30 years ago you had the reliable and the unreliable brands.

There's the ultrasonic cleaner! But yu need the next size up so you can get a total submersion. But hey - headed in the right direction 😊Because you like your engines to look clean - if your not going to do the full detail under the hood, hit the guts witih your high pressure air hose. That will tidy it up right quick.

' Those are motors for the MARS (Marine Amphibious Reconnaissance System), which was usually mated to a Zodiac F-470 CRRC (Combat Rubber Raiding Craft), used by USMC Force Recon, US ARMY SF & Rangers, Navy SEALS, USAF STS, etc. I think they are based on Johnson Commercial motors, modified with the drain system, they also came with a silencer system, which was acoustic pads fitted around the case and top of the lower unit. Thanks for bringing a few of them back to life, I have many fond memories of long nights at sea running those bad boys.
