listen, i say this a harvey lover, he's my hubby too. i will defend and apologise for him till the end of the earth, but you can not seriously go "EEEW clint is so creepy with emily and is such a looser🤢" and ignore how creepy harvey's maru dialogue is. like come on now. i also find it so hilarious when people hate stardew npc's with a vengeance (aside from Moris cause he's literally supposed to be the big capitalist bad guy) cause there are only like 5-7 npc's that aren't an asshole or have a big blaring flaw in at least one heart event or dialogue. they're all assholes in one way or another, and concerned ape did so fucking well with captureing the small town vibe and dynamic with that. stardew npc's are so authentic to the small-town experience. also, how dare you insinuate harvey being 40 something being a bad thing?! him being in his 30's-40's is part of the charm and appeal with him! preposterous! i will not take such slander over my old man hubby!😤

This is my first time ever watching stardew valley gameplay so I had no idea about any of the characters personalities. I can definitely see why people don’t like Clint, and I’m not asking for anyone to feel bad and like him. But when he was by the cliff chat was starting to make me frustrated as they were being kind of immoral. Like I understand just not liking him but like that was a serious heavy topic and the game was clearly framing his as mentally unwell and riddled with anxiety. It’s just kind of concerning for their lack of empathy in that situation particularly Lovely video though, I love that you were still trying despite it being hard and it was very entertaining

i completely understand that perspective! when i’m recording these videos, i’ll let my chat know in advance and they will often say some silly things to try get on screen. i don’t think any of us expected the mod to get this deep, and i think in an attempt to stay funny and light hearted, some messages weren’t really taking everything seriously. i’m glad you still enjoyed the video though! thank you for being kind

Damn, Pierre is my least favorite character, so I agree with that. But Clint is worse than Mayor Lewis or Pam? lmao Pam is an alcoholic who neglects her daughter. At most, Clint might be my 4th least favorite character, but it's tough for me to decide between him, Demetrius and Morris. I don't think Clint is an incel, he doesn't have the self-entitlement, sexism and unfounded superiority complex that those manchildren have, but we don't see how he takes rejection enough to make that call.
