Can I fix my wifes Hemi powered Vj valiant hardtop to go cruising again!

Good tune will go a long way 👍🏻looks like it was a single barrel Hemi index your plugs a big open air cleaner will do wonders as your motor works like a air pump does it have extactors or split exhaust and a good flow system as it will run hot 🔥 if you have the original manifold and the butter fly is frozen 🥶 she will run hot 🥵 . I owned an original orange VH coupe in the early 90s plus a VH v8 coupe 318 also your cam is different on a factory single barrel Hemi etc Owned many MOPAR all the best with the MOPAR 👍🏻.

I had my pick of his collection that I could buy and it wasn't easy Lol. I chose a smick VJ 770 318 Sherwood Green metallic Charger instead. I bought many others too but he offered to let me buy one of their own very best Vals at one stage

Was running a 5 core in Mt Isa, mid 80's throughh mid 90's. Ambient temps up to 45°c plenty 42° days. 91° thermostat. Rarely saw 100° on the Murphy switchgauage in an E37 Charger built 20 thou over to 320HP E49 spec. No a/c though..lol... Radiator capacity counts, especially in the heat & in your case a heavier car. Good video 😊

@@bambamfabrications Hi, yeah I don't remember doing it, so it was probably old Ken, my elderly pommie good Mate. That car was always one of his nice low milage examples, but he also used to recondition Mopar engines himself when needed before he got too old.

Loving the hardtop, my 245 has that shake so good to see swapping the lifters and timing gear over sorted it. Whats the damage on the new lifters and timing gear and where did you get them from?

Cheers Mate!! I get all my parts from cheapa auto spares in Townsville and I think it was under $500 for lifters, timing chain and gaskets from memory but I'd have to check the receipts mate.
