He's the kind of person you get when great parents take the time, care, and effort to raise a great human being. His morals are so solid and he's so compassionate, you just know that his folks were amazing people. Parents and the quality of their character determines whether a kid is entitled way more than economics, I would say; I've known some amazing people who grew up well off but had parents who taught them humility and respect and appreciation for what they had, and plenty who grew up poor and still ended up being entitled assholes because their parents felt they deserved more than they got out of life even though they didn't put in the work to earn it. But I'd also say that when you grow up in an environment where everyone has to help each other out just to survive, you're more likely to be compassionate and appreciate what good comes to your life.

This man is something else. As a young Correctional Officer for 2.5 years, I prided myself on treating the inmates as people, not criminals. Based off of integrity and accountability rather than the crimes committed. I tear up more times than not to these videos and want to give credit where credit is due. Judge Caprio needs to be in every courtroom making a difference. And if that isn't possible, people need to learn and be taught by this man's value system.

I've lived in RI my entire life and I would watch this show at 2 a.m when it first aired. I was in high school and my Spanish teacher was on one night. She always tried hard to push me and I didn't understand why until I saw her cry after getting a $50 ticket thrown away.
