The battle begins, and it's as if time itself has bent to accommodate this astonishing spectacle. Abago, the civilian who started fighting in the Roman gladiator arena, has become a legend in the making. The crowd watches in awe as he displays a level of skill and strength that defies his age and background, earning their respect and admiration. In the end, Abago emerges victorious, but he doesn't gloat. Instead, he walks away from the pit as quietly as he came, leaving the crowd in awe and the pit boss humbled. Abago's story becomes one of local lore, a testament to the fact that sometimes, the most remarkable warriors emerge from the unlikeliest of places.

That would be a badass D&D intro/backstory. Few years after enjoying retirement, Champion fighter, the PC overhears some folks in the tavern talking about something needing killing. Bored since the arena, he throws his hat into the discussion. Completely neutral, folk hero background. Does what it takes to get coin, but that's second to the thrill of combat. The ruler whose gladiators he killed still wants him dead, not that he pays much mind to it.

The one thing I feel should be changed is the fact that it seems every battle includes death. Most gladiator battles weren't to death, they were for entertainment and gladiators were expensive to train and expensive to replace. Besides that the game seems very interesting, I really like the idea of it.

Dude I found an insane negatrive today, automatically makes you wear the Tribal mask and can't take it off but it gives you INSANE buffs and actually good armor that never goes away, ever.
