Can I Keep Up With A Former Honda Challenge Racer!?

Hey, Friends! Welcome back to the channel! Thanks for joining us on the last day here at Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course with NASA Great Lakes region. As we continue on our journey to wheel-to-wheel racing, I find myself on track with a similar build piloted by an experienced racer! Being able to study what he did on track and pick his brain definitely helped me to become a better driver in just a few sessions. I love being able to drive with seasoned drivers/racers and absorbing as much information as I can. I'm so humbled and appreciative of how helpful these guys are! We had a few sessions that were extremely fun and Andy is such a pleasure to drive with! Driving close to 10/10's and navigating through traffic while following each other around was such a thrill! Need more sessions like this! This one is a bit long, but I hope you guys enjoy this video!

Getting closer bud! Hope I am able to track with you again soon! Getting the red car sorted out so it can hang a bit better. Still can't make up for the lack of torque compared to your B20! If you were to get the car prepped for H1 I may have to make my way back so we can race. Don't think i'll be running H2 again unless we got a group together for it.

Haha! Now I’m gonna need to go K to keep up with you! The B20 is no more, it’s an LS bottom end now after I completely destroyed the B20 bottom end. A LOT less torque now. I’m only making 202/137. H1 would be pretty cool. Maybe one day we can bring it back!

@@bvspeed oh yeah forgot you threw in the 1.8 bottom end in. I found my issue as to why I couldn't keep up at Gingerman last time I chased. Seems I had forgotten to reset my ignition timing after getting the cylinder head repaired. So I was only at 6° advancement! This past weekend with the proper ignition timing, I managed to clock 1:45s in the car. Still slower than my H2 car, but better than the 48s I was running at Honda Meet.

@@bvspeed as for bringing Honda Challenge back, I'd love to see it as well as figure out how to make the car competitive in H1. I do miss H2, but ready for more speed.

Is the B series engine able to compete or does one have to switch to a K?

It really depends on what organization/class you’re running. For the most part, B-series is fine if allowed, but not competitive against K’s.
