Putting the spices into the beans at the end seems like a weird choice. I cook them in the instant pot (dry beans) and do the onions, garlic and spices at the start so they get all cooked and fragrant. (It’s Pro Home Cook’s recipe from his Mexican meal prep video, if you’re curious)

Washing rice takes about 10 mins when were making the huge batches, so im really glad you highlight how long this takes. Okay so you got the bay leafs right but you forgot the oil, we use oil at chipotle. For the beans they come prepackaged so this is probably similar to how they're made before we reheat them. Chicken - we dont use pepper, we do just chipotles in adobo, but a blended brand. Its not called Pico at chipotle, its called Mild Tomato salsa, I think you forgot the lime juice and your cilantro chops are trash you must not chop it but rather "shave" it. Invest in a potato masher for making the guac, but recipe was on point. When making these in the back, they always taste so much better before they hit the line! It makes sense that yours tasted way better, cause we mass produce food in a buffet style, as you took special care with each menu item

For real though.... a fast food place has all that sitting there ready to just be tossed together. It's not made at home like you are doing it so right there it WILL be superior. I really don't care if it can be done faster than delivery, if you can make it at home for close enough to the time it takes to get it via delivery without the fees and etc (seriously it's expensive) do it. Also really he did it because around here Uber Eats can take up to half hour to an hour to get to you.
@RiamsWorld3 жыл бұрын
Fortunately he didn't do carnitas or barbacoa which would take several hours to braise. Also fortunate he got a bowl because he doesn't have the steam press that makes the tortilla stretchier. Plus getting delivery means he didn't have to take the time to go to grocery store, and probably buy way more ingredients than you actually need(unless I'm cooking the same thing for 3 people, that means I'd have to eat the same meal 3 times in a row). Also, getting delivery means you can do other stuff, like not spending half an hour in the kitchen with my hands and attention taken up when I could be doing work. Also saves on time spent cleaning up. And not using up the kitchen when my roommate wants to cook something they make (Because they have a different diet than I do) It's a tradeoff, but it's all about priorities. That $5 more for delivery isn't worth the inconvenience to me at this point in my life (not to mention a lot of places on UberEats, Seamless, and Doordash you can regularly get 25% off your order which basically makes delivery almost free). I love to cook and all, more than most people I know, but I never cook anything I could order out the same thing and get it just as well made if not better (due to them having more practice and standardized procedures/ingredients). I'm either going to cook something original/obscure, or it has to be because I'm adjusting a recipe to meet someone's dietary restrictions.
