Ive seen countless ppl beating malenia with mimic before they even understood her moveset at all. All it needs is 1 lucky try where you mimic doesnt die early and the fight is a walk in the park. Mimic litteraly makes phase 1 a complete joke since you can stunlock her with almost every weapon forever

GG dude. I was obsessed with ER on release and did 12 runs in total. I played up to NG+7 on one character (level 260 in the end or something) and made 5 other challenge run characters (SL 1 run, naked with a club run, pure magic etc). There are so many ways to play the game and it has a lot of replay value. You can do some truly crazy stuff. Can't wait to see you play more of the souls games!

I had this happen to me I was fighting Fire Giant and he did his bullshit fire attack (when he spits fire at the ground from his stomach) and my mimic tear (don't judge it was my first playthrough) rushed in and hit him as I died and Fire Giant died at the same time I did and sadly it didn't count and it took me 80+ attempts with my mimic tear and good dex double katana build

mimic tear is what helped me find a counter to waterfowl dance. My mimic threw the frozen pot and knocked her out of the air and it was over i never had to worry about it again.

Major props on beating Melania summonless on your first souls game holy shit. After 850 hours of playing, even beating Morgott with a +0 weapon aswell as Mohg and Radagon/Elden Beast with a normal smithing stone +8, but Melania wth no summons is still something I can't do. Watching you dodge Waterfoul while singing T-Pain actually gave me a better sense of how to dodge it honestly and determined to try and finally get her soon. Shows that even after nearly 1,000 hours there still room for improvement and things to learn

I just Platinum'd this game. Being my first souls game. I'm proud of it. I got Plat and beat the DLC in about 200 hours. I took my time and explored, and even then to get Plat I had to follow some guides are where to find missing Legendary items.

But some people will die with mimic tear 8 times, and to them the fights are difficult. If a professional souls youtuber was using mimic tear the whole time I could understand the making it too easy on yourself because it takes away from the games. But newer players are still being challenged by learning the whole game, mimic doesn’t take away challenge just reduces it. Also this dudes not even using a really crazy build imo which increases mimics potency

First time viewer here and a huge fan of the souls series. I probably have 2000 hours between the ds trilogy, bloodborne, sekiro, and elden ring. I just wanted to say amazing fucking job with this. Don't listen to the gate keepers and feel bad about the mimic tear. It's a mechanic in the game that's specifically for new player accessibility. My only critique is try out some other weapons in the next souls game you play. You may think one is really good but then you find one you like more. You're depriving yourself of that experience only using one for your whole playthrough.

@@Matthew.Nelson Stfu Rebecca, all Trophies in 15 Hours is literally impossible for a first Playthrough - probably even for a Speedrunner (who would have to practise and learn it first) xD The Trophies to beat every Boss and get all Legendary Items alone make it impossible to rush it through and get it ALL done in under a Day...It is probably possible after a couple of Runs and mapping everything out, getting a max lvl Weapon first and then rushing all Trophies in the fastest order possible - maybe doing some Skips and Glitches along the way. However, that's not the Sort of "first Playthrough" Experience we're talking about here, so just gtfo, Boy^^

No, he was really bad at dodging, he mainly spam rolled. And the Bloodhound sword is a Top 3 sword, speedrunners use it on bosses. Plus, bleed, any bleed weapon immediately gets pushed to the top. Without it, he'd do way worse.

Im just a little sad you only ever used the bloodhounds fang for your entire playthrough, its a good weapon that you can get really early on, and its really strong. But its just a little boring! You should definately revisit the game and try out some of the really cool builds
