I’ve been to the ER several times with very painful Grade IV internal hemorrhoids, once with bleeding I couldn’t stop. They used a solution of tranexamic acid to stop the bleeding. It takes several days for the pain to subside, and then 2-4 weeks for them to shrink down and completely retract. Constipation will re-irritate them, so now I take Miralax daily. Mercifully, they’ve become Grade II, and retract on their own. I have to break myself of the very bad habit of pushing, even when the poop is soft. You must unlearn this. What’s worked for me: Miralax daily, at least 8 glasses of water, huge salad for lunch, steamed veggies, very little meat (just baked chicken breast), Ezekiel bread (to minimize gluten), meditation (to relax all muscles).

@@valeriopolchi6186 Mine do retract, but they may still be the same size. They are pushed out after a BM, but will retract in several minutes. Previously, they would engorge in blood and take weeks to retract after the clots were absorbed. In my case, constipation and excessive pushing caused the problem.

@@valeriopolchi6186 That’s my feeling, exactly, avoid surgery as long as possible. You have to watch out to avoid constipation, and especially pushing. It’s easy to mistake the feeling of internal hemorrhoids for the urge to poop, even after you’ve had a bowel movement. You feel like to gotta get it all out, so you give it an extra push. All that will happen is that you push out the hemorrhoids. If you keep your stool soft, then get off the toilet and come back later. Miralax really helped me.

I had taken laxatives daily until a doctor prescribed Linaclotide (Linzess) - this helps tremendously. Nothing else helped to soften things and stay regular.

Good evening Doctor! I have a hemorrhoid that’s not painful at all but it just there only gets big and bloody when I poop. Then it’ll shrink in minutes or if I take a hot shower to that area. I had Thrombosis External Hemorrhoids before that went away after cream and stiz bath where I didn’t require surgery but this hemorrhoid isn’t painful or sore but it’s just there for the last couple months or a year. I’m gonna try to push it in tonight to see if that works. Thanks!

Ive tried to push it back up but when i get a good bowel movement in, it pops back out. It gets very frustrating because when i wipe it just starts bleeding & i've actually had it spot on the outside of my pants. What do i do if it just keeps coming back out when i poop?

I'm not really sure if mine is a hemorrhoid? I went to the emergency room because it felt like a blowtorch was up my rectum the ER doctor checked it and said he didn't feel a hemorrhoid several days later I noticed that there was some swollen bump their I've been using preparation h witch hazel to clean it with a cotton ball I've been an alternating preparation h but I found that aloe vera gel straight out of the plant worked the best so I'm pushing that little thing in there and hopefully it goes away this hasn't happened to me before I don't like it!😮

hi doctor. last 6 days i has my induced labor - emergency cesarean section. and sadly my external hemorrhoids went all the way outside! it feel like cauliflower. keeps on bleeding and irritating and super super painful. im planning to have it remove surgically because i cannot bear the PAIN it sending right now. its even painful than my c section incision! i cannot concentrate. i cannot walk and sit properly. i cannot took care ok my child properly. i want to have it removed asap but my ob gyne advised me to wait until 6 weeks.. i dont know if my body could last that long with this pain.. she said it would require another general Anesthesia. can removal of hemorrhoids be in office procedure? or it should always be in operating room procedure. how many weeks is the recovery time if ill have it removed? and lastly i read in the internet that if you received hemorrhoidectomy you can no longer control your bowel movement? is this true doctor? thank you for sharing your knowledge to us. i ditch the sitz bath btw.

I have performed many a procedure to help people with this incredibly terrible suffering. The procedure varies with what I see but the answer is definitely: YES, there are procedures to help!

I actually prefer not pushing it in... after using the toilet, I sit down in the couch and I can actually feel it going back in... I relax for 30 mins, before I can stand comfortably. My problem is, sometimes, it hurts when they are already in. This kinda puzzles me. So I would touch my bottom, find just tiny bumps left on the outside. The pain usually goes away if I do either 2 things. 1 is if I push them out again while in the toilet, poop a little in the process sometimes, then sit again, and let it settle in the inside again. If it hurts, it's like it is telling me that I havent finished pooping yet. Or that when they went inside, they were disarranged or something. I dont know... 2, sit/lie in a hot compress pad. Why do I still feel pain, even if only small bumps are outside.

I just had an after thought. Assuming that most people don't do this, the instructions that I gave require that you shave all your butt cheeks of all butt cheek hairs. Failure to observe this step will only drive hair up the hole.

If you want to push your hemorrhoids back in, the best place to do it is in the bathtub filled with a small amount of water. This way you can clean your bottom, as well as get the job done. Once you have washed things down, place some soap on the finger your going to us to drive the hemorrhoid home. Now here's the hard part, you are going to have to drain the hemorrhoid by gently squeezing the bulge of the hemorrhoid and careful drive the hemorrhoid back into the hole. The next thing you're going to have to do is swish your finger around inside the hole to seat the hemorrhoid. The next thing you want to do is to remove the soap you used during this procedure. So use the bathwater to clean the fingers of soap and drive your finger into the anus to clean it of soap a couple of times. This step is very important because the soap will cause the hemorrhoid to slip out again. Once you've dried off, you might want to get a fresh dry towel and completely dry of your butt cheeks. With a little practice, you will learn what is comfortable for you to do. Results may vary. What works for me might not work for you.

Thank yiu for your advice 🙏👍 I feel oil is a better alternative than soap? Soap irritates & creates rash. Specifically in areas like eyes, nose, private parts, open entry holes on your body i.e. it hurts instead. I read they use castor oil in some of the hemmorhoid medicine. To heal it that way?

It's possible, but use plenty of jelly to keep them safe.
