Can I Put A Baby Seat On My Bike?

I have a sixthreezero Evry Journey, i am using a Bell cucoon 300 baby carrier. It is sitting too close to my seat, going to order the monostay adapter for that extra length

What is that piece called that you hook onto the seat stem? My bike has only a quick release and if I remove the bolt to insert the bolt for the U Mount then my seat is no longer held up…
