As a ftp player I am really frustrated at Devsisters. I grinded so hard for Elder Fairy, Stormbringer, and Mystic Flower and I wasn’t able to get any of them because the rng in this game is so stupid. Not to mention the new awakened Cocao cookie that I don’t have yet. However I was able to find a team that got me up to Elite 5 without any of those cookies. I used crimson coral, golden cheese, white lilie, frost queen, and snapdragon with watch, veil, and feather treasures. Still frustrating that I can’t get any further than that because I have bad luck with the gacha. Edit: I wasn’t very active during the stormbringer era so that’s why I didn’t get her from the daily gifts, however I was more active when Elder Fairy and Mystic Flower was released

I have a very slimy team that I use in arena. It includes stormbringer, white lily, frost queen, mystic flower and my trump card, oyster. Because oyster can use her skill 2 seconds after the round starts, it changes the order that the rest of the skills are used, allowing mystic flower to move first as she is second behind oyster. This basically means that the opponent can pull off only 1 or 2 skills before being stunlocked and nuked by white lily, frost queen and stormbringer.

@@frgal1336 honestly I think cookies started to increase in attack too much more than their increase in hp. In the middle of 2022, I would draw (not win nor lose) a couple times per week I think. But now? I think I’ve only drawed like 4 times this year. Usually the battle ends like as soon as it’s +100% attack

As Free-to-play gamer, personally speaking, Mystic Flour is never the issue for me to destroy, it is always the inclusion of finanicier cookie with insane candy, frost queen with 20+ candy, etc. I obliterate Mystic Flour most of the time cause their not safeguarded. I never needed to use mystic flour which i did manage to gather, when with the immortal ascended 5 stars Snapdragon cookie + White Lily Cookie, their healing outclasses them. However I never made it up to brutal grandmaster, only elite 3 at best, so probably right in higher meta. I don't really push myself to be competivite star when it is filled with obnixous and strict regimes for what amounts to low-energy game.

I used to play this game a LOT as a F2P. I quit around a year ago because it was getting to the point where it was becoming a chore instead of something to do for fun. But I made it a point to use the cookies that I LIKED, both character and design wise, for my arena team. If I remember correctly, I used Pure Vanilla(love you grandpa), Vampire, Squid Ink (who to this day, remains my favorite cookie of ALL time), Financier (Mostly to protect my Squid Ink), and then the last cookie I swapped around depending on what team I was facing. I rotated between Affogato, Prune Juice, and only ever begrudgingly occasionally, Jung Kook. For my treasures I used the Sleepy Head Jelly Watch, Sugar Swan Feather, and then either the insignia of the indomitable knights OR the Dream Whistle. I essentially got 2 res's with vampire cookie and the feather, so I got extra healing any time he or Squid Ink died and I can't tell you how many times that saved my ass. I think I was able to climb all the way to M1, but as is usual for these types of games, I simply wasn't able to climb any higher because I wasn't using any meta cookies. Thank you for your service Squid Ink, you were my highest leveled cookie and I adore your design sooo much I WISH there was a story or any sort of content for you.

i have awakening 1 mystic flour and dark cacao and awakening 2 golden cheese, and i paid ONCE for the kingdom pass like 4 days ago because i could not get golden cheese and it was literally hindering my ability to progress in the current event. yet STILL i am unable to progress in arena and my cookies are all dying because i don't have burning spice cookie or wind archer cookie who can APPARENTLY both one-shot my team (of legendaries and ancients). so glad the entire arena meta revolves solely around those two! granted it's probably still a skill issue and team comp failure on my part but still. ugh

not really tbh, played both games, still do with genshin and you can practically clear everything with the starter characters alone if you build them right (abyss is different, but not as hard as it looks, plus the meta isnt so relevant) while with crk, you are forced to use specific team comps and builds to even have a chance in the arena, and sometimes with the harder story mode stages ...
