I think the bike turning off when engaging side stand is a safety feature. Lots of other bikes have it as well.

My Benelli Imperiale does this thing where the check engine light comes on after she gets thoroughly wet. Then stays on several days until she's completely dried inside and out. Scared the f*** out of me the time, but after a couple of months (and this issue coming up several times) it's become routine. Guess that's just modern bikes and their electronics...

I remember being in Lower Mustang when there were no roads at all way back in the 1980s. I did the Annapurna Cirquit by crossing the Thorong La Pass from Manang which is at 5400 meter hight. Only people able to trek on foot and making a real effort could pass it. Now anybody can reach Jomson region by road. The whole region is all different now. Anybody can drive up there nowadays and part of the magic of the region has gone forever. The question is if it is all better now?

i think next time you need tires you should get a set of ALLROAD tires like Heidenau K60 Scout. Those hold up great, are good on tarmac but also have light offroad capability.

How is the regen performance when in the hills? For two wheeler there is not a lot of momentum hence regen will not be as effective as with 4 wheeler vehicles. Just that for hills may be it adds value. For ride comfort check with biker groups when you come across if the shock absorbers could be set for a softer ride.

Mustang ride on dirt bikes is a adventure on its own(many videos on it), trying it on an electric bike it EPIC man. Even nepali made electric bike company haven't tried it. Only thing that will beat yours trip for me is GCN's(cycling youtubers) cycling trip to mustang/muktinath

Wow, I think you're quite brave Marcus, riding with these kind of tyres (the Vredesteins?) on those slippery roads. I think Eve and you can cope but I would be quite reluctant to ride these muddy roads without offroad tyres. I see the locals riding these little bikes but Eve's a bit heavier (no offence Eve ;-) ) The area and the views are quite astonishing I must say.
