You guys have done a lot since you first came there I remember when you come out with the kids and you slept in one of those tents that you hold your supplies and stuff in now it was just awesome to watch

Yellow cucumbers are very bitter but I'm sure by now you know that. Tarp your beds to kill the weeds then before planting pull out the dead growth. It will help. Yes, the rabbit poo will have some seeds but so will the birds that fly and the plants that you have left alone to die, and rot will also give you more veggies.

Keep the way you are doing the videos now. I love watching you guys. Don't know if I can wait to see you send us less often. Keep up the good work. I am old but you bring me lots of good memories of growing up on our property.

Pull your hoses out. Let the grass grow, about two weeks before planting, add some wood chips, burn it all, then till it in. Once that is done, add your fertilizer till again, then plant.
@beckymerriner24933 сағат бұрын
I like the more often I want to see you guys when I can see you I like seeing your real life I know you piece it together but you do keep it as real as you can and that's what I like about it it's real The things that happen and we can see it more often but if there's a time where you need to just put the camera down and go do a build put the camera down that's fine there's nothing wrong with that homesteading is a hard life I know I did it till I couldn't do it no more I did it and worked a job at the same time so I know how it is and you're right things happen on a homestead sometimes you can't explain what happened it happens that's it there's nothing you can do about it and people need to understand that and if you never homestead then you don't have room to make a comment
@stephenkennedy920538 минут бұрын
Mel instead of incorporating the rabbit poo into the soil put some in a five gallon pail and fill it with water and use the water to fertilize the garden thus weeds be gone. God Bless from your Canadian Friend.

Justice suggestion on the window units if you put a piece of metal underneath of it next year the dripping will drain away from your paint and it won't stain it it'll drip down onto the patio part it don't have to be very big just enough for it to drip away from the wall so it don't run down you don't want no one running into it but that's what we did for ours and it worked fantastic

I'm so head Gary got to chill with his brother.. he was so happy and excited leading up to it and you can tell he enjoyed it so much. Sorry he got sick tho
@bradhill92283 сағат бұрын
I forget if you guys started a compost system... if yall did, then I would suggest adding the rabbit and goat poop in there. It will decompose along with the other organic material adding to the compost that you can add to your garden. You get the nutrients and fertilizer without the seeds as they should break down into the composted soil

I'd much rather see more videos. Thank you for asking. Prayers for Gary for a quick recovery.

If you cut your peppers at the ground and the put mulch over them they will come back next spring. And if you don't want the weeds in your garden you need to let the rabbit manure compost before using it. Putting fresh rabbit manure on your garden you will get the weeds. Remember to compost the rabbit manure first the heat will burn the weed seeds as it's composting. And you do the same thing with chicken manure and goat manure must compost it first before using it for fertilizer.
@AdamofCA.5 минут бұрын
did not know that the heat kills the weed seed. Thanks. because our garden in the CA soil has clay, i mix egg shells and all my leaves into the soil. That mix has greatly soften the soil to allow me to use a hand shovel for the planting of 12 flower beds that become a necklace for the house.

The grass growing in the beds will just be seeds either carried by the wind, or droppings from birds or other animals. If the rabbits are eating seeds, then it could be the cause, but it's definitely not just because the rabbits eat grass. Plants grow via seeds, not leaves.
@SueWagner-f9tСағат бұрын
Hi Mel!! It was good seeing all of the animals again. I agree about not breeding the rabbits until after winter is over. I would rather them have a better chance of survival. Is Sir still wearing his apron? I couldn’t tell. Your garden is still producing which is so cool for you. Take care and hope Gary is doing better soon! Oh yes I vote for less editing and more content. Option 2 I Ibelieve? 💜💜💜

Hi Mel, great update, thank you. I hope Gary gets over the bug without any problem. On the hay bale rack, have a look at another favorite Chanel that I watch: lumnah acres. Al made a bale rack that you may get some ideas from, it certainly holds the bale off the ground, it’s high because it’s for cattle, but height can be whatever you want. I couldn’t believe the number of fish the lads were catching, I am lucky to catch one worth eating, generally I’m just feeding tiddlers. I like following your channels and your content is entirely what you can do, we shouldn’t dictate it because this is you guys sharing your life with us, it is what it is, just be you. you, your family and the framily are great. Option 2 is more workable for you to fit in with your life, so keep it easy for yourselves. Take care, stay safe.

Personally, i'd prefer to see more uploads(option 2), but, at the end of the day, it's what you think is better for you. If you'd rather go with more polished, less frequently uploaded content, if it would be easier for you, then go with that. At the end of the day, we're like voyeurs, peeking in on your lives every few days. It's a privilege to be able to do so. I would say, do what's easiest and best for you. Subscribers will still be there, and the videos will be viewed, regardless.
