So I had an hsg done last year. My Dr told me prior to my test that it would feel like period cramps and that I could take ibprophen before if I wanted to. The hsg was so incredibly painful, I've never experienced anything like it. My hsg showed both tubes were blocked at the uterine horns. I've struggled yo get pregnant for many years so my dr said the tubal issue explained my infertility l. Is it possible though that I could have had the spontaneous closing?

Yes it is possible if the doctors can rectify that. I had an ectopic pregnancy the fetus grew next to uterus my tube burst, they had to remove right tube and ended pregnancy. A few months I had my other tube tested with the saline or ink liquid and was told it was blocked too. I was devastated cause I wanted a second baby so bad. So my doctors did a procedure in which they insert an instrument into the vagina not sure if it reaches uterus it looked like the shape of a Christmas tree and they blew air in there and the other doctor with the stethoscope would listen if he heard any air flow. My tube was obstructed it took them at least about 5 tries and they could blow out whatever was obstructing my tube. Fast forward 6 month after this procedure I got pregnant with my now 5 year old girl at 39, and with my almost 2 year old son at 41. I'd be more then willing to ask my doctor what procedure is called.

While one doctor blows air into it, the other doctor listens with the stethoscope , when the air flows strong and freely. I will ask my doctor.

My fertility doc said that since 1 tube is blocked ivf is the only way. If you have a blocked tube you run the risk of ectopic pregnancy. I'm trying to unblock mine naturally.

@kruttika toprani, Request if your doctor can order you an HSG test it’s a procedure that pushes ink into your Fallopian tubes. I had this done and they said the ink pushed open my blocked Fallopian tubes and I got pregnant in 1 month right after. After HSG your chance of conception goes up by a lot for up to 6 months because it cleaned out your pipes.

Its not cheap at least 15k depending on your insurance coverage. For twins it depends on how many embryos you get when you do IVF and whether the embyos stick. I recommend making an appointment with a reproductive embryologist (RE) doctor as soon as possible to start the process and discuss your options.
