Yep..I think ALL THE LANDMARKS of All park, all castles, epcot, tree of life, etc..' iconic'rides, pirates, small world, matterhorn space, etc.... But DAN- yes, Imagine that not all of us are under 30.lol..its a celebration of ALL 50 YEARS..frozone, not an Incredible? FANTASIA ? Weird.. And here in South Florida, ( and ILL BE IN ORLANDO END of Nov..WITH FOOD,AN EXTRA toy was $1 ..without food,$2...Then,ALL OF A SUDDEN, I ordered 1 HM,2 toys,$27..wth! $10 per toy...NO thanks ! another one was $6..but they all had diff toys, diff weeks.. I GOT EXTRA MICKEY..LOLOL... ill trade for chesire...♡

I’m sure many a Disney fan have gone on this same hunt for the toys. Your arguments about who they picked for the toys/for the 50th statues is my exact same thought. I saw the 50th statues in person in September and the ones that confused me the most were Bo Peep (when BUZZ should have been paired with Woody!), Bambi, Thumper, and the total lack of princess representstion in any of the character choices.

The nice thing about McDonald's is the happy meal toys can never be too rare, since there's so many McDonald's in the world and every single one has the same toys you're bound to find the toys pretty much anywhere for any price

As someone who ate a whole bunch of Happy Meals for Pokémon a few months ago, the trick to not dying if they won’t sell you the toy…hot cakes keep well in the fridge, apple slices, opt out of the yoghurt, and sub a water bottle. This is for Canadian McDonalds I’m not sure if it works the same in the US

I actually got Mickey, Dale and Genie before I gave up and gave them to my friend who was collecting them and needed those for her collection LOL. I discovered recently though that a nearby library has the entire set on display.

I really love lady and the tramp!! I love the cute family setting, with the narrating orchestra for all the movements. It keeps the story high energy, while being easy to sleep to. Very retro

Dan. We must live in different versions of PA because when I went to get the whole Disney World Train each toy on its own was only 89 CENTS. I didn’t even have to buy the food, I just got the 5 toys I needed and walked out the door. (This was in New Bethlehem PA). I have no idea what restaurant was gonna charge you over 3 bucks for just the toy. That can’t be policy, they ought have been trying to scam you (pocket the cash)

Back I the late 90s the McDonald's i worked at instituted a bunch of rules including high prices during the beanie baby madness, because it was at the point adults were buying them out and there was no toys left for kids.

My wife is a hardcore Disney Adult. With that being said my 16yo son decided to make it a competition for which of us could get her the most of the 50th toys. Her collection is officially complete, and I won by 14. My son used the tactic of sweet talking the ladies at several local McDonald's into donating to his cause, which gave him an early commanding lead. However I've been working 4 hours from home and I travel it twice a week so I stop at every McDonald's in between. (PS I also sweet talked the ladies out of the toys) we're from Amarillo TX. and an extra toy costs $2. Anytime we got a double we would trade it back in at another McDonald's. BB8 and R2D2 were definitely the hardest to come by.

Happy Meal toys have always been $1 where I live, but about a week into the Disney 50th promotion all McDonalds in my area *raised it to $9.99 per toy because ebay SCALPERS* started buying up full cases of toys to flip online, and they were running out of toys to put in the kid happy meals. I got the 44 characters I wanted, but it wasn't easy. I skipped some non- OG Disney characters like the Marvel toys. Can't believe they didn't include any of The Muppets. We get that Marvel tree characters, but no Miss Piggy? I feel cheated! lol 😅

Turn them into Christmas Tree ornaments. Buy some small eye hooks and a power drill. Drill a small hole into the plastic and screw in the eyelet. Disney Happy Meals Toys are great cheap Hallmark ornaments.

If I were to start getting the toys I would have to break my vow to never step foot into a McDonald's. I'm still mad about the way I was treated while working for them. It was 4 years of some of the worst working conditions in my life. I have worked at gas station and that no where near as bad as working at a McDonald's.

Oh man! The hunt for all the toys was something! I told a friend about them the day they started and. I was just going to get the Sensational Six, but he was buying them all. Seeing that, I gave in and wanted them all. We hit up every Mickey D’s we passed each week. Always walked in, never drive thru. Didn’t like the different prices at each restaurant. Some managers were cool and charged us the cheaper price. I always had on a Mickey shirt when I went and would bring up my Mickey plush collection and that helped a few times. I was lucky a few times and was given extra toys by accident when there was a rush. We both completed out collections within the month and gave extras to friends who were collecting as well. I don’t go to Mickey D’s much and after this, I’m not going back for a long time, or till the next they have Disney happy meal toys.

Yeah, out of the 50 characters selected (mainly for the gold statues), 14 of them are big whifs & are easily replaceable. For my money, they include... Remy instead of Dante (he DOES have his own attraction specifically opened FOR the celebration, after all) Kermit instead of Joe Gardner (I am totally not surprised at all that the company that generally forgets the Muppets exist... completely forgot the Muppets have a 30 year old attraction that exists in favor of one of their more popular facets who's not even in the park his barely-an-attraction attraction is being held at) Mary Poppins instead of Cheshire Cat (I know her attraction is put on hold, but it'd still be nice as a "soon" indicator) Ariel instead of Sebastian & Flounder (too many sidekicks, not enough main/human leading characters) Someone from TRON would be the freebie from the above (see Remy & attraction reason) Genie instead of Abu (more valuable/popular character) Cinderella instead of Jaq & Gus (it IS her castle, after all/see sidekicks vs leads reason) The Navi Shaman of Songs as the freebie from the above Anna & Elsa would be added with Olaf instead of Bruni (see sidekick vs leads reason) Tiana instead of Frozone (Edna's enough for Incredibles characters representation/see Mary/attraction reason) Nick & Judy instead of Bambi & Thumper (characters with better/more prominent theme park presence) Moana instead of Hei Hei & Pua (see sidekicks vs leads reason) And Jiminy Cricket and Peter Pan instead of Lady & Tramp (Peter would be his own statue & Jiminy would be part of Pinoke's)
