Can I survive a CRAZY lap one at Spa!? | iRacing F4

Blimey, you weren’t fibbing when you said it was a lively opening lap! That was a crazy first trip through Eau Rouge. My money’s on a big slowdown penalty for that guy who lifted - iRacing dishes out very big penalties if you exceed limits on the left at Eau Rouge, with little time to serve it. Sometimes you have to slow quite drastically to get rid of the time. Any other time in the race, it’s fine. But on lap one when cars are already three wide, it can cause absolute mayhem… and on this occasion, it did! Great vid, looking forward to trying this combo at the weekend.

Ha cheers fella - yeah it was mad how corner after corner they kept falling! I agree re. the slowdown, and I think he did his best to not interrupt other peoples races, but it’s just impossible by that point to react! Great combo though - look forward to seeing you take it on!

How does this car compare to the USF?

Hey man - so IMO they are much much easier to drive. A lot less prone to snap oversteer and the brakes lock less frequently. Plus the grid sizes / number of splits are huge.

IMO, you didn't do anything wrong there (lap 1), you left plenty of space for the other car. They bumped you (as well as the purple car before getting to eau rouge). I think maybe it was a case of them not using radar. No idea why they would lift on the kemel with a car right behind. Maybe they were just too flustered in the moment and made a poor choice?
