The arc with Shortcat and Peter was so well written and emotional. The way they developed a deep friendship while bagging and trying to comeback from the last positions, but then Shortcat was forced to leave him behind as Peter died and stayed at last place. And then on the next race, Shortcat is playing as a Boo, which is obviously the ghost of Peter, so they can still race together and try to reach first place. So emotional, I cried like a baby in the theater.

lemme tell u a story i had similar to that: i was on mario circuit (i think it was the snes one) and i was bagging with Roy. Roy and I were friends throughout the race, him being in front of me most of the time, but then we got to the third lap, and the final shortcut. I used items to do the shortcut, but right after I used my mushroom, I had triple greens. Roy used the shortcut too but because I had triple greens, he died. Then I saw him in last place as I finished in a high place. So sad.

My favorite Shortcat video, that last race had me at the edge of my seat and made me jump out of pure excitement as he secured that final dub, well done! I also want to point out how I like to see this more human side of Shortcat when he experiences genuine rage or when he exits a lobby because of being afraid of a 45k player which many of us can relate to. Not only that but also telling his audience about what he has been doing lately outside of KZbin when saying he recently watched the Mario movie which gave the video a more down to earth vibe which is always a good thing. I do this whenever I play with my friends who suck at Mario Kart, except from instead of 20 seconds it's +10 seconds for every race I get first and -10 seconds for every race I don't. I still consistently get first place up until about -40, and at -60 it starts to feel almost impossible to get anything better than third. Keep in mind we play VS races, so it's on a points based system over however many races we decide to play, and sometimes I actually get very close to losing. Even if you get first _most_ of the time, you can still get beaten by the players who are getting second/third *every* time while you're getting the occasional eighth. Maps like Baby Park and Excitebike are just guaranteed losses when you have to wait for a whole minute before racing.

Thank you! Looking back the whole race is possible in theory, but nobody has any practice driving like that. We still use visual cues to move. So in theory yes it would be completely doable, but you'd need to specifically practice that skill

out of curiosity, why do i practically never see you mushroom through the small water park shortcut?-the one in the underwater section near the end of the lap, which goes through a circular ride in between the little merry-go-round pod thingies admittedly, it’s not huge, but i don’t believe it’s that difficult, i do sometimes see you burn your mushrooms before the item set that comes after it anyway… wouldn’t that path be slightly safer when in the middle of the pack? :o
