This idea came from a few of you. I thought about your suggestions and came up with a challenge that I think is do-able that will also be tense/fun to watch!

When you were questioning if you took damage for the run you finished, you can tell you did by looking at the hull above the shield generator. The glass has a slight crack in it

Oooooo, suggestions for the developer eh? I have a couple ideas for changes: First the obvious - the seed needs to sprout sooner and drones shouldn't be able to work during battle! They'd still be incredibly good without collecting resources 24/7 Parasitic drones could do with a boost to make them a more worthwhile choice against battle drones - maybe prevent them from latching onto popcorns? Or have them not die if the popcorn they're attached to dies? That way they'd actually be able to target the bigger enemies and be really useful. In order to make the lift more competitive without having to nerf drones too hard, there could be a lift upgrade that allows it to transport gadgets and supplements, or maybe one that allows it to bring gadget objects like bombs, worms and drillbert treats down from the base. The cascading impact supplement for assessor is fun, but not much of an efficiency boost, especially when compared with the engineers equivalent power drill. Thus, I suggest changing the assessor supplement to be a major decrease in cooldown on the sphere abilities (explode, reflect and split). I feel this would be really fun and keep the assessor a little more competitive with the engineer. I've noticed that a few times you've had trouble with overlapping controls that make it a bit janky to do what you want when too close to resources and objects - maybe some in-depth custom button mapping would be in order? The saw could really do with an upgrade that makes its movement smarter, making it a more effective counter to the kamikaze popcorn enemies. Could also do with either a damage boost or maybe a stun/slowdown aspect. Stab bomb delivery should probably be toned down a smidge, it's simply too strong and basically allows you to ignore upgrading weapons for a long time. Electrified hull is sad, I don't know how to change or improve it but I think it needs something for sure. I feel like dome resurrection could do with a change - perhaps it could removes your ability to heal with cobalt, but allow you to buy resurrections for a rapidly increasing cobalt cost? Also it really doesn't need the huge window of invincibility after activation, it's already too good :P It could be cool to have an auto collect upgrade for the mushroom farm that feeds you any mushrooms as soon as you get near them, rather than requiring you to actively pick them up. Could maybe be an additional ability on the shroom stacking supplement. Finally, gonna throw in my no doubt highly unpopular idea of a kamikaze drillbert supplement, which makes the nest steadiy produce drillberts that explode upon finding a resource node XD

Yeah the drones can be incredibly op, Abe suggested needing water every few cycles to recharge them.

My input on drillbert, make him fly, like a pterodactyl drillbert, or at least a supplement that lets him, that way he won’t fall into gaps, could even have an upgrade to drill below and turn around… but that’s probably a little much

That was fun to watch! This is a solid challenge. I thought the no heal challenge was hard. I feel this one is a step up from that. Great job!

Suggestions: give a huge buff to the deflection shield upgrade because as of now It's only barely effective against 2 of the 5 types of flyers It doesn't effect projectiles It has 2 limited charges It provides no defense against any other type of enemy I'd probably scrap the reflection idea and instead call it "dome spring" and instead of reflecting projectiles it bounces them back in a downwards trajectory and then needs to recharge before doing it again, it could also lower the damage taken by melee monsters as well as killing smaller enemies Also add an conditioning upgrade to the drones (like drillbert) that allows them to better plan out their paths and either prioritize resources closer or further from the dome as well as maybe interacting with other gadgets like the lift and teleporter(both the gadget as well as the natural formation) maybe even have 2 drones work together to carry 3 resources Maybe give the iron worms a conditioning upgrade to let them scavenge resources that are diagonally attached as well as a supplement to let them scavenge other resources but at a longer pace, so you're guaranteed 4 water/cobalt but it will take 1.2 cycles And also buff to the seed in terms of time and yield, maybe have them interact with the mushroom or the orchard that helps it grow better and faster A naturally occurring tunnel that works similar to the teleporter but it transports you from one part of the map into one 50 blocks away in a random direction

Comparing this to your speedruns on way bigger maps, I think this makes a great case for health as a resource.

Still can’t believe you did the iron shortage challenge with Iron Worms-but without Meticulous Worms to multiply the iron.

You could get the Condensor for this challenge. The Supliment would permanently overcharges your Shield.

Wow, this one felt really interesting!!! I feel like this "mode" make it so important to be mindful of what resources are minned, even iron. Like only taking ones that are already needed and "counted" both in regards of how much you'll need to spend and how many the blocks may give (I guess also how many you can take back). Because keeping the waves managable seems to be the best "strategy". Also... I'm not sure Sword is that good here. Sure, it could stop range atacks but the chances of it stopping all of them accurately seem pretty slim to me. Maybe... Something like Artillery, being able to whipe them before they get through the shield...? Also, yeah, I think Shield is really good here, I can't think of another way to avoid all the damage that'll go trhough one way or the other. Aaand, the electric shield seemed great for melee while taking care of the flying guys. All this said, I have no idea what I'm saying to be 100% honest, lol! I mean, I'm not even a player, just thinking outloud basing my thoughts in my "watching experience". So... The really important part here, Thaaanks for always trying new things for us, I feel like you do a great job with that!!!! I wonder how many ways of making this game feel super fresh you might find still!!! 😁

I appreciate all the hours of effort you put into sharing content with us, Luckless. Thanks for your time and for giving me new ways to enjoy DK. I will see you do something then give the challenge a try. Definitely look forward to prestige runs whether record or not. Just want to see you in some really tough fights.
