During the video, you mentioned that public holdings have decreased and DII's holdings have increased - which are great points and they made sense to me as well. But one thing that caught my eye was, what about the promoters and government - their stakes have decreased. Besides, FII's have decreased their holding in the last 3 to 4 quarters and which can be one of the points why the stock prices have fell. I wanted to know about your opinion on promoters, FII's and the govt.

Retail frenzy in IDFC first stock is a pure case of mass hysteria. Just ponder upon these facts: - Stock gave 0 return in a decade. - Bank continuously posts higher provisions than net profits. - After every 1-2 quarters a new reason or issue emerges for poor results - legacy borrowings, Infra NPAs, Tamilnadu flood - Continuous dilution by means of QIP and generous ESOPs. Loan book will grow, profits will grow but EPS and stock price growth will be muted. - Huge unsecured loan poetfolio - Every retail investor is invested in with hopes of multifold returns and becoming rich. Remember this golden rule: "Everyone cannot be rich at the same time". Stocks with such high retail participation never makes money. The Bank has quality technology, inspiring leader, Good employer. It is good for banking, good for employment but not good for investment.
