You should try external lenses for that issue, one benefit that I most appreciate using my Moment Wide lens isn’t necessarily wider fov or image quality on main lens but the fact that flares are much better and softer

4:00 you can lock WB when you press the shutter button to record. You have to allow this in the settings.

Here is a parts list of the iPhone rig used in this video. I love what I have gotten out of the iPhone 15 Pro with Apple Log. What especially impressed me was how clean the Apple Log footage is compared to what previous iPhones could capture. I can see how the iPhone 15 Pro/Max will become an a-cam on some indie filmmaking projects. It's that good. After I talked up the iPhone 15 Pro's Log profile with my brother, a filmmaker though not a camera person, he immediately suggested that I don't need my "expensive camera" if the iPhone is so good. I pointed out that the iPhone doesn't quite have the depth of field my other cameras have. Nonetheless, the iPhone 15 Pro/Max is a game changer. Thanks for all the content from the "No Vacancy" production. It was great seeing so many content creators that I follow working together on one production. Cheers.

But you can lock white balance in the settings, even for native camera app...that being said, even Apple used BlackMagic Camera for their production, in an interview they said pro features (and a BTS video on a production should count as that) should be found in the app store, and you shouldn't expect the native camera app to offer the highest level of control. The flaring is kinda annoying, I think some 3rd party lenses/filters might help with that, that being said, Apple did _try_ to address flaring, they said they added a new coating to the lens, although in my experience it definitely doesn't solve it completely.

Sony really dropped the ball by not pushing Xperia 1v for filmmakers despite being superior while sharing their new ground-breaking 2-layer transistor sensor with Apple that wanna backstab their imaging sensor business and dump them.
