Can JIO kill Zerodha, Angel One, Groww in Stockbroking Race? | Jio Fin launching as a Stockbroker

Jio Financial Services, which is led by Mukesh Ambani, the big boss of Reliance Industries, is getting into the stockbroking and wealth management business.
They're teaming up with BlackRock, a huge company from the US, to do this. BlackRock is not just their partner for these new businesses but also for setting up a money management business in India.
Recently, they announced that they're joining hands again with BlackRock to start these new ventures. This news comes at a time when they're still waiting for the green light from the regulators for their earlier plan to start a mutual fund business. They had applied for permission from the Securities and Exchange Board of India (Sebi) back in October 2023.
In July 2023, both Jio Financial Services and BlackRock decided to step into India's mutual fund market, which is worth more than Rs 50 trillion. They planned to invest $150 million each for this. Now, they're going further with their partnership, aiming to create a wealth management company and later a brokerage company in India.
For these new ventures, they'll need separate permissions from Sebi. Jio Financial Services, which is the financial services part of Mukesh Ambani's Reliance Industries, is now splitting up to focus more on finance.
A report says that big institutional platforms manage more than half of the $1-1.2 trillion owned by rich people in India. Banks handle about a third of it, while Indian wealth managers take care of about 12-14%.
The new partnership might face competition from banks and other wealth management firms like BNP Paribas Wealth Management, 360 One, Nuvama, and Avendus. But with Jio and BlackRock joining forces, they could shake up the industry a bit.

I think jio financial mostly Asset management investment par jyada focus karenge ... New users toh easily jaa sakte hai lekin Sawaal yeh hai ki kya professional traders and investors jio financial ko switch karenge? Free brokerage is not the only game changing.. Brokerage se jyada glitch free system hona chahiye.. Orders lag nehi hona chahiye servers fast honi chahiye so that latency nehi honi chahiye.. Still i will stay with zerodha..
