Thanks for taking the time to make this video. I'm in the layout stage of my dust control system. Overwelmed by the cost of EVERYTHING! Can't afford to spend Thousands of dollars for Nordfab or others. Already Way over budget with all the Tools and Machinery I am currently buying. Just curious, how many rolls of Ducting Tape did you end up using?

The Nordfab would be nice, but quite evidence. I think I'm on the second roll of tape.

Thanks I'm about to start laying out my system and I appreciate seeing how someone else has used HVAC ducting. Did you use 6" for the main and then 4" for the drops? (I may have missed that detail...)
@GlennFrazeeYT Жыл бұрын
Yep, 6" all around until it drops vertical.

Yeah, this is not the attention you're looking for, but you get more handsome by the year :).

Have you had any issues with or concerns about the duct work collapsing from the negative pressure of the system with hvac duct being so thin?
@GlennFrazeeYT Жыл бұрын
None at all. I think I'd need a lot more suction for that to be a concern.

I have a lot more suction. So spiral duct for me

My experience is that 4" schedule 20 pvc (sewer drain pipe) is much easier to work with.
@GlennFrazeeYT Жыл бұрын
I would tend to agree. I thought about going that route but ultimately ended up using metal duct due to the static issue.

I will never use pvc again for duct work.. the static electricity is a nightmare, besides being a fire hazard with all the dust, and getting shocked constantly, any other dust attracts to the walls and pipe pretty quickly.
