Can Lilina Beat EVERY Class In Fire Emblem?

I used FE Builder to make a gauntlet map to test gba fire emblem characters against every other class in the game. This installment features Lilina as our champion, and we can compare her performance against Roy and all the future units we will test in the gauntlet.

I'd also like to recommend changing the enemies to have just 1 move, that way they can get in and attack 2 range weapons when it gets to their turn, but the player units can attack first.

Or placing the enemies farther from the doors, or making the rooms bigger. Just something to keep them from always getting a first strike whenever a door is opened.

Ngl, expected her to do worse, good for her. Not sure how much better any of the other squishy mages will do in the future, theres a lot of physical damage to tank in the gauntlet. Someone like Canas could still be cool to see, getting Nosferatu halfway through the gauntlet could be spicy (maybe a bit much tho lol).

Would be interesting to do 2 runs, one with Player Phase start and another with Enemy Phase start to see how bad it is. I guess the best way to achieve this is to make all enemies stationary and force your unit to never flee once they start combat/wait in range.

You should allow each unit to take a single stat booster item. Might be interesting as most players would give lilina a speed wing or dragon shield, or as you suggested an angelic robe, also I'd love to see someone like Cormag or cavalier Amelia go through this

@@BadAtFireEmblem i figured it was a little much but it also sounded like a pretty reasonable idea to me. A lot of units really need that one or 2 extra points of attack or speed to pop. Thieves for example would be horrible in this series without a mag ring. A fighter would really want a dragon shield or talisman to offset their miserable defense. Or erika for example might want to dump into extra speed or even a con ring. Stat gains on level up are partially random in FE so its very possible that a unit I used and the same unit someone else used were drastically different at the same level with no items given. I figured a single stat booster would help to mitigate that randomness but im fine without it as well.

If we are sticking to fe6, I'd be interested in seeing a comparison between Gonzalez and geese. I don't know if hard more bonuses would be factored in, but even with them I'd be impressed if geese preformed better As a side note, though fe7 and fe8 tomes will weigh lilina down, fe6 tomes are incredibly light and she will only get weighed down when using the bolting, by 6.

I think that using the FE6 enemy stats average sets this challenge difficulty really high. Maybe changing map layout would let Lilina rank higher, right now Lilina is Enemy Phasing so there is no chance she could clear it, if it was more Player Phase focused (letting her do the 1st hit) she would surely raise her ranking.

Lilina is not the secondary lord of fe6, after playing the damsel in distress she don't play any role in the story, even Clair frop Echoes is more present in the main story script

Glad you noticed Lilina's con mistake in this. I do understand that this is using fe8, but fe6 weapon stats are slightly different, especially for tome weights and axe hit which I think may end up skewing results from units of those games.

@@BadAtFireEmblem I should have figured the myrmidon could straight up defeat her. Maybe you could do an overview of the order of enemies before you do the gauntlet? I think these videos could benefit from some editing as well. Not trying to be too harsh, I think it's a fun idea, just seeing some room for improvement. As for Marcus, I think that as a lvl 1 prepromote he's actually completely fine for this challenge. He's as fast as Lilina is at lvl 20 here, and while he's got some decent bulk, with only 9 STR he's going to take more hits. I genuinely don't think he'll get that far. Oh he does pose the issue of the weapon triangle btw, as any cavalier would. Having access to both swords and lances is a strength, and I think you should just put an allied unit somewhere to hold the extra vulneraries for any character that has more than 1 weapon.

One of the things I've noticed is that this challenge run is heavily skewed towards enemy phase units, since most of the time opening doors lets the enemies initiate combat for free 99% of the time. If its possible, I think only making every second enemy move on enemy phase would even the odds a little bit.

Seeing her almost die to an archer makes me wonder if some, maybe not all, enemies should have 0 movement like a boss. Since giving the enemy a first turn all the time seems a bit unfair for a glass canon. Conversely I also see why it would be unfair to always go first if a unit is so strong they can one-shot an enemy before the counter.

I'd love to see Florina, mine was incredible at level 20! But she might need a Delphi shield... Is that fair? Nobody else has to go against hammers or horseslayers, and terrain doesn't matter in the gauntlet, so there's no give and take with archer effectiveness, only take.

@@GiantFrog It is an intrinsic part of those characters though, it's not like every flier gets a Delphi shield. I think giving out a shield is too much, but what I'd do is put the archer and nomad at the end of tha gauntlet, so they could get a score of 14 without even facing effective damage

I’m not sure how you’d go about this but I’d maybe like to see Leif from FE5 try this, as I started playing Thracia recently and he preforms better then what I was expecting. For his average level 20 stats I guess you could just use whatever his magic is for res, since they share the same effect on his game, or you could use the average stats for level 20 in fe4 and just give him his base 5 con , though his base stats in fe4 are a lot higher since he joins later so he’d be considerably stronger at level 20 average
