Can Machop beat pokemon emerald?

Hello everybody, today i'll play thorugh pokemon emerald using only a Machop.
Rules:
1) I'm only allowed to use the starter in combat;
2) I'm not allowed to use items in battle;
3) I can't raise evasion;
4) I can't use glitches or cheats.

No surprise that a first stage Fighting-type would struggle in a double battle vs Psychic-types, but otherwise did surprisingly well

Boosting moves are very valuable in this kind of runs even the ones Who are generally considered kinda weak like houl

Nicely done! Playing around guts was the correct call ,in order to get by fighting without relying on set up all that much. Bulk up is a major upgrade for fighting types in gen 3. After obtaining that TM Machop did really well for a first stage pokemon 😊. Considering Tate and Liza ,and the risk of being poisoned to utilize the guts ability.😮 Well done!

I was hoping that the guts DMG boodt was enough to not have to bulk up but that was not the case in many more occasiona than i was expecting

@@Kronaast Bulk up is a great set up move,no doubt about that,guts is always a nice way to try spend less pp with bulk up,but it can't replace it entirely.🤔

@@bateltheassistant indeed, bulk up does not require the constant dmg from poison/burn and also increases defense

@@Kronaast The guts facade combo is usually really good,but kind risky for a solo run in some cases. Unlike gen 2 ,in gen 3 the poison status drains hp every turn.😄

@@bateltheassistant i thought only in gen 1 poison would not deal damage if you knocked out the opposing Pokemon

Amazing UI for the Pokemon! One suggestion I would say is to take breaths between sentences though, otherwise cool solo run!

Thank You, UI still has a few bugs and i want to male a couple of improvements but i am not finding the time to do so
