I have to ask, is anyone else impressed with just how well this game runs? I did a battle last knight that involved 6 million knights charging 50 thousand assault troopers. It was stuttering but it slowly began to run more smoothly as units died.

I think making a bayonet charge would be cool, or something like a bunch of melee units going up against ranged units in some kind of death charge. I was a big fan of MOW;AS2, and the final charges the enemy did when they were defeated always kinda intrigued me. So yeah, keep up the good work!

The AI pathing in this game is so cool. I would love to see more "Arena" battles like the one you did with the four teams except on this map or the egypt one. Overall like your commentary on these! Keep em' coming!

Just a personal suggestion, zoom out when you do your time lapse so we see more of the battle field. I bought this game a couple days ago and i love it. i cant wait for the full game and mods to come!

On the store page the developers wrote they're adding elephants so I imagine the troll model can be swapped with Olag-Hai & the elephants with Oliphants. In theory a Hero unit could have their size changed, stats reworked so melee attacks kill several units per hit in a radius, & models switched to Sauron's armor/mace or any of the Lotr heroes.

Gameplay Suggestion: Capture the Flag in Mount Olympus map - the Flag would be a nurfed hero maybe, at the top of the mountain. Whoever kills the hero first wins.

I wonder if units like the Romans get buffed when they're in line formation because from what I understand, historically the Roman Army was more disciplined and sophisticated when it came to unit tactics compared to medieval knights

Yes and no, its an age difference really. Roman’s were indeed the first ones to really bring about the new age of warfare in terms of unit formations, phalanxes and army structure, etc, however the European knight is millennia ahead of the Roman soldier in terms of evolution. Roman tactics were adopted by all sorts of cultures, the shield wall becoming one of the most prominent forms of infantry combat in the medieval era. Knights would be knowledgeable of roman tactics, and more, as it had been refined and perfected for years and years. Gameplay wise though, it would be cool if the romans as the godfathers of war got some buffs in regards to their contributions

@@1894db Well, even men-at-arms and stuff would have the basic knowledge of military formations. Knights of course had much more pedigree when it came to training but, the rules of warfare were taught to any man that held a sword or spear for a King or equivalent. No use in just having brain dead footmen. Of course, one might argue that seeing as Roman’s, even down to their Munifexi (essentially their militia men) were all given a relatively equal amount of training and knowledge of warfare, they’d be much more prestigious than the layman peasant who picked up a spear so he could get a sack of grain for the winter

@@whatcouldbeupdog as I understand it the Roman Empire at its height had a large standing army that drilled in maneuvers constantly, while in medieval Europe it was more along the lines of a smaller core of knights reinforced by new recruits when they needed to raise an army... I am by no means an expert on the subject so I could be wrong.

Whereas the Roman legions were a force for the grandstanding majority of the Roman empire, their expansionism never really halting- The medieval era was a time of consolidation. Any major armies came in the form of fyrds, essentially a peasant mob conscription. So the Romans were definitely a much more war-ready people.

Hey! What about a Holy war next! What I mean is have 1 million units of your choice ally which a God unit. Then have them fight a different 1 million units of your choice and have their own God unit. Then the two sides fight like some kind of crusade or holy war! I think that would be epic.

You should do this with 2 auto tanks and US army soldiers as for archers use the German snipers you made. Then use tanks for the catapults then for the jolly good nature use a full auto roaming tank
