Can Monster High Fans Find Love for Cave Club? Our Honest Thoughts on the New Dolls *DISCUSSION*

Doll collectors need to remember that Cave Club is a toy for children to play with. It was never aimed at us the adult collectors and is for a younger audience than Barbie and also for children who want an action toy with a bit more of a story that is suitable for it. If I was a kid, I would want to play with these.

Cave club is honestly the best thing Mattel is putting out right now (minus the extra barbies) love the colors, art and designs but.....cavemen? Heck, I even love dinosaurs and how they make them look. Also I bought one of those crystal glow rock mystery toys and I got THE ROCK? WHY IS A ROCK WITH HAIR EVEN AN OPTION I WAS SO MAD I WANTED A COOL DINO!!!!

My 9 year old daughter and I love Cave Club! They’re not Monster High or Ever After High, and they’re not intended to be. We love them for what they are and think they’re great! I love the articulation and they kind of have an 80s vibe, which I love. I definitely think they are moving towards Enchantimals territory though, as you mentioned, and will only be released online, unfortunately. They have released so many Enchantimals lines since they pulled them from stores and they have a lot of content on KZbin. I’m not sure why they don’t have them in store anymore and it bums me out that Cave Club seems to be moving this way as well. There’s also a Rockelle Baby Dino Adventure set that we bought from Amazon and I doubt it will ever be in store (it’s so cute and detailed!) and it’s really a shame not to see it on the shelves. Anyway, thanks for the great video and in depth discussion! 😊

The cave clubs are adorable, but I haven’t purchased any. Thank’s informing us they have a KZbin channel, I’m going to check it out maybe it’ll build my interest..... oh yes , please do another MH update video, I miss a bunch of leak’s & info on Instagram, and did you guy’s hear anything about 28” Rainbow high doll ?!?!

I think people need to realize that these are dolls intended for children, so not every toy is gonna be high fashion/quality & that’s okay for me because it balances out having lines like RH & LOL OMG.

I think these got overlooked in the Rainbow High rush of the holidays. At least for me. I did always have my eye on the Bar-b-que Emberly playset, but at the time, it was $20. Currently, I have a bone (get it?) to pick with MGA, and I bought my first Cave Club doll last week. Guess how many I have now? Love the sturdiness, articulation, colors; not crazy about the feel of the hair, but love the crimping, little pets kinda meh, but yeah, I love them. On sale at Target for $6

I got into and angry frenzy over the crystal pets, I wanted the rock pebble pet so badly! Bought over 35 of them and didn’t get him! I hope they make more boy dolls also

Tbh, I’m pretty lukewarm on cave club bc for some reason their feet just REALLY bother me, (despite the fact that it looks like they can probably stand on their own bc of them) although I may pick and choose certain characters to buy because some are pretty dang cute. Maybe I’m just not into the whole caveman aesthetic lmao. Thanks for the review/deep dive guys! =D

First of all, if 'Bashley' isn't already a roller derby name I am certain it will be one in the future LOL In general, I think people in our collector demographic sleep on CC majorly but when you look at the dolls/material there's definitely a lot here: fun colors & fabric, personalities and character specific details, full articulation for decent price. If anything I wish that Mattel would take this same mindset and apply it to Babs and her things. Why they haven't I don't know and it is possibly complicated in general (which we have that ongoing dialogue about) but truly I think CC, while not for me at large, is something that has lots of heart & merit so hopefully it's qualities can transfer over to other Mattel brand decisions in the future.

As someone who grew up with monster high, I actually really like Cave club,l and have quite a few dolls. I've loved dinosaurs since I was a kid and also the croods, and the fact that they're playline kinda gives me some nostalgia, like rh and omgs are great but I never had dolls like that as a kid. caveclub, while not being on par with monster high still reminds me a bit of it. Also I love dinosaurs

Amazon and Mattel dolls are doing the cardboard packaging. They did the same thing with Barbie Loves the Ocean. Disney has also moved to this type of packaging.

Definitely Monster High is going to cost more than these. I would guess at least 50% more. I think Cave Club is fine for the younger audience for which it is intended. I understand, however, if an adult collector doesn’t find enough there.
