Assalam o alaikum brother I wanted to ask that I am a fan of bts like not very seriously though I like their funny videos the most and read fanfics...I also listen to their music only when it is released but also not more than 2 times is it okay? I don't usually listen to any other music

@@Errorshadows333 wa alaikum salaam bro. BTS and their music is considered haram, just like most other famous bands or pop singers. Your life will be better off in the long run if you don’t listen to music. My advice would be to gradually reduce the amount you listen until you can just stop and it doesn’t feel difficult anymore. The other option is just to switch immediately to nasheeds (or Quran) when you want to listen to something. It’s not easy to stop listening to music. It’s like a drug- makes you feel good. Don’t be too hard on yourself but understand that it is haram and try to stop.

@@raiseyourdeen Jazakaallah brother......I don't usually listen to their music that much but InShaAllah I will completely avoid listen to it .. But what about funny videos and fanfics? I mostly read fanfics but when it comes to some scenes of two characters I stop reading it and skip that part.....

@@raiseyourdeen assalamualaikum brother, I had a question regarding acapella. Acapella is a form of song where there are no musical intruments, just vocal layering (singers repeat a line and then play it over the same line so that it is sung twice) and a little reverb I think. Is acapella halal?

Agree with you 100%. I've spoken to Muslims who do everything right but can't give up music even though they admit it's haram. And thank you so much for commenting, makes my day :)

About the Nasheed we will definitely need to be careful because We see in Short Videos that nowadays Nasheed has a beats while singing Nasheed anyway thanks for this video very informative

Well I play guitar and find it a source of peace. I also love classical music and folk music and find a genuine spiritual connection through music. For this reason alone, I doubt many westerners will adopt Islam. To us, music is literally part of our link with God.

I don't think all types of music are necessarily haram, because in surah luqman, verse 6 it says "words of amusement" and "misleads from the path of Allah", so music which is not used to stray from the path of Allah could be permissible, for sahih al-bukhari it mentions the Use of musical instruments (which i think means playing them), so technically it could be permissible to put for example background music, and for the four schools of islam part i would like to know the source of those claims (not saying they are completely false but i would like more evidence), and as i said for example background music, could not be a tool to influence emotions, since it's used as the Background of a video or image or any other type of content.

i agree that today music is filthy so are the movies in TV .we have to choos the music just like food we eat . even the prophet peace be on him could not prohibit some thing that was not in holy Quran . Surah At-Tahrim-1. O Prophet! Why do you prohibit ˹yourself˺ from what Allah has made lawful to you, seeking to please your wives? What about folk songs? Im a christian from the balkans that has grown up with folk music that represent our culture, so im curious. Tho i mean onky songs that dont say anything haram

@@raiseyourdeen Well the lyrics vary: -some talk about our motherlands history -some are about love between 2 people(happy/sad) -some are about celebrations and parties(not today type of parties, but big family get-togethers and eating food there) -some DO some DONT have instruments

@@Ethan7_7 I’m no scholar but I’ll try answer you from what I’ve researched: - instruments are not allowed in any songs (other than the Daf drum) - singing about your lands history is permissible, old celebrations is probably permissible - singing about two people in love is probably about romantic lovers who aren’t married therefore impermissible I should say, most Muslims find these rules about music too difficult and tend not to follow them unfortunately. They’ve been listening to haram music since they were kids growing up in the west and haven’t managed to stop yet. I’m curious: why are you asking, since you said you’re Christian?

@@raiseyourdeen Well this is my story: As a kid Ive been ortodox baptised and went to church and all that, then I had a period of not having faith until I got a revelation last year. I started researching the Bible but the more I did, the less it alligmed with what I had been seeing. Icons in houses, imagery in church, and the "last straw" so to speak was the trinity concept-it makes no sense to me and also i get diff answers from diff christians. So Islam contemt started popping up to me, dawahs and shahadas, passionate people sharing the message of Islam(some of them being "i am the warner" and "mufti menk". And it really touched me, Id even cry at times. So im still researching about it and trying some things like not eating pork and i finally understood that man-woman friendship is just not good. So yeah, Islam makes a lot of sense to me and it is simple

In the Seerah of our Rasool SAW and during his younger years is it not clearly evidenced that music was associated with brothels. As those were the only places in the Arabian peninsula where music was played. Then, does that not make the ruling in reference to the activity, behaviour and culture of going to those brothels and not in reference to music itself. Of course I mean no disrespect. It is important to understand the context of these rulings and to have an understanding of the seerah before we as Muslims make statements. Offering one’s own, or popular interpretations as the truth is definitely shirk.

Muslims are humans and all humans are instinctively drawn to music. We have to stand firm against our temptations though.
