ok FYI since it seems that you dont know alot about this. Firstly, you game crashed because minecraft has an ram use cap, upgrading your pc wont change this and you will need to chenge this cap manually, Second, 16GB is not much, and you pc would've definately crashed if it wasnt for VM

Ram wont help for exploding a lot of tnt if you already have enough. Not to mention did you even allocate the ram to the game?
