@maureensunshine3185Ай бұрын
You are welcome. Italian nursing degrees are recognised in Switzerland as it is part of the EU. I would advise you to finish your training there and apply for jobs here as you work in Italy. Experience is key. Again, I am assuming you are studying nursing. The situation might be different for other professions.

@maureensunshine31857 ай бұрын
You’re welcome. For job search you will be like any other non-EU citizen already here. If your profession is in the highly sorted after domains like IT then no worries. However, if your spouse has a C permit, you can get a C permit as well after 5 years of your marriage in Switzerland or your arrival in Switzerland if married abroad. This then puts you at par with the EU citizens.

first of all, thank u for the informative video :) i have some question about the residency permit. how long did it take to get permit b as a family reuion? did u directly apply for the residency permit or did u get the visa first then ask for residency permit?
@maureensunshine3185 Жыл бұрын
You are welcome. To travel to Switzerland you have to apply for the visa and on arrival you apply for your permit from the local authorities. Usually when they give you the visa they will not have a problem giving you the permit. Just know that before getting your visa they will interview the two parties involved at the same time. Once you have the visa you will definitely get the permit but you still have to apply for it when here.

Hello, now if being employed from my country is close to impossible, is it easier if I have done my masters or CAS from there?
@maureensunshine3185 Жыл бұрын
Hello Tinah, you can only do the CAS here once you have experience working here or your degree is recognised and meets the Swiss nursing degree level. As for the Masters you can do it as an international student but it does not guarantee your stay here. Immigration office and the education office are two very different offices. Many have been disappointed. If you finish your Masters and an employer wants you to work for them, they have to show that they cannot get a Swiss citizen, EU citizen or non-EU citizen already here to fill that post. This can be difficult since most EU citizens are migrating to Switzerland because of the high salaries.

Yeah. This is the current situation. However, latest news showed that they are not managing to recruit enough from the EU. Things might change. I agree with you that looking elsewhere may be a great idea. Germany for example. Wishing you the very best.

@maureensunshine318510 ай бұрын
I am not a legal expert but what I’m certain about is that holders of B and C permits must live in Switzerland 6months each year. However, some people might have to be away due to special reasons e.g a very sick family member and this is up to the office concerned to decide whether they can keep their permit or not. I don’t have a solution.

Hi Maurine, I am soon to get my Belgium Citizenship. I have Bachelor in Nursing from India but its not recognized by Belgium. If i study French would my Indian degree be recognised by swiss government to work as a nurse there? Will i fall under EU category or non EU category after getting my Belgian citizenship and Indian degree?
@maureensunshine31858 ай бұрын
Hello, congratulations on your Belgian citizenship. You will be considered as an EU citizen when applying for a job but your degree remains non-EU. This is however not negative. Just means that you will go through the non-EU recognition process. Getting a job will however be easier because of your Belgian citizenship

Can I move to Switzerland through business immigration? Say I want to start a business in Switzerland and employ myself. I'm a US citizen.
@maureensunshine318511 ай бұрын
Yes you can. Usually for non/EU nationals a valid C work permit or marriage to a Swiss citizen is needed. If you don't have this then you can contact the canton you want to set up your business in and they will ask you for all the necessary documents like business plan, account statements etc to see whether what you want to set up is of real economic value to Switzerland. Hope this helps
