Due to limited knowledge he has distorted some facts about Madina. Madina literally means "city". The actual name of this city is " Madinatun Nabi" meaning the city of the Prophet. Madina before Islam was known as Yasrib/Yasrab. Yasrib/Yasrab was an Arab man who had first established the city and after whom this city was named. After being banised from Palestine by the Romans, the Jews migrated to Madina. The reason for this was that they knew that a Prophet would arrive in this city (in a city with lots of date palm trees). The only thing they believed incorrectly was that they believed that the Prophet will arrive from amongst the Jews and not from the Arabs. Due to this most of the Jews rejected the Prophet as they believed that he will be from the Jews. They could not believe that a Prophet can arrive from the illiterate and Pagan Arabs as the Jews used to look down upon the Arabs and consider them inferior than themselves. The next point he got wrong is that Jews were the majority inhabitants of Medina and they were the original inhabitants of Medina. This is false. The Arabs were the original and the majority inhabitants of Medina before and after Islam but the Jews also had a significant population inside Medina. The Jews had arrived there just 200-300 (and according to most correct view is that they arrived in Madina just 100 years earlier) years ago while the Arabs were living there since eternity.

Just a little correction: This is not Al-Haram, this mosque is called Masjid e Nabwi (meaning mosque of the prophet) whereas Al-Haram is the grand holy mosque situated in the Mecca

The Jews were eagerly waiting for the arrival of a prophet who, according to their scriptures, would appear in Madinah. They used to taunt the local Arabs that when he did arrive, according to their prophesies, the Jews would destroy the pagans as the ancient people of Aad and Thamud had been destroyed for their idolatry. However, when they realized that the final prophet was chosen among the Arabs rather than from the Jews their pride got the better of them and they rejected him even though as the Quran mentions (in 2:146) they recognized him as they recognize their sons. In spite of this, there were some Jews who embraced Islam, most notably Hussain bin Salam, one of their most learned Rabbis. The Prophet (ﷺ) changed his name to Abdullah bin Salam.

In both cities Mecca and Medina, feeding of pigeons is considered to be very auspicious deed as pigeons here are believed to be blessed by Prophet Mohammed (Sallalahoaleyhewassalam). When the enemies were following Prophet he went into a cave. Pigeons made nest and laid eggs at the entrance of the cave. When the enemies came to the entrance, they saw this and thought the the cave is abandoned and left without entering. Thus the Prophet was unharmed. Thnx bro for at least giving us a glimpse of the second holiest site in the universe. It was in yr 2017 that Allah provided me oppurtunity to perform Haj Pilgrimage. May Allah accept. u've refreshed my memories of my visit. I must appreciate how in short u've tried to explain the importance of this holy city. Since last 2 yrs lacs of Muslim r all over the world were not able to perform Haj due to corona virus pandemic. Also I wish Allah willing may Allah guide u to the right path and some day u also perform Haj with lacs of Muslim pilgrims and also come to Medina to pay ur homage and respect to Mohammed Sallahoaleyhewassalam not from outside but from near the grave in Masjid E Nabvi. Really U're such a blessed to be at this place, even from where getting particles of dust is auspicious to us. Wish u a nice journey. From Mumbai.
