How many of Trump’s first term tariffs did Biden remove? Which president pulled in the largest amount of revenue through tariffs? It wasn’t Trump, it was Biden. However, you are correct, massive tariffs would hurt everyone. They are similar to war and nuclear weapons. Some say the threat of war and the nuclear threat is a deterrent. Since after a lot of really harsh talk it was Trump to open out current NAFTA agreements with Mexico and Canada, I believe future Trump will act like past Trump. Tariffs are simply a way to negotiate fair trade. We can no longer take an economic hit to prop up other countries with trade deficits.

To save the dollar from going to it's intrinsic value. While one needs to just stop the unjustified monetary expansion eventually. If one could pay off debt both public and private while engaging in the current unjustified monetary expansion. That is, use all the new money to pay off debt. It would likely help with the goal of saving the dollar. One would be using the cause to do the opposite of what the cause normally does! It would change the debt to cash ratio which is much like the debt to equity ratio of a business. It's the solvency ratio of the general economy! Converting as much debt financing to equity financing as possible would likely help with the goal of saving the dollar. So, do those 2 things before one stops using the drug of unjustified monastery expansion! With much less debt there is going to be less insolvency and less liquidation, thus prices will be more stable and not do the crack up boom thingy with as much strength or power.
