I've commented on this before, but Scump really has not had God squads like people think. There is a difference between being able to pick your teammates and having the best teammates. Yes, he was able to pick. But if you look at his teammates outside of the true dynasty era of the jetpack games, his teammates were players that had bigger "names" than their actual abilities at those games. Pre-dynasty had plenty of players that were on Optic well past their primes like Nadeshot, Proofy, BigT, etc. And then post-dynasty had a combination of past-prime players like Formal, Karma, Crim, and then players who were good the year prior but turned out to be not as good as they thought such as TJ and Illey. The current roster is easily the best Optic roster since the dynasty. Don't get me wrong, Scump always had very good teams, but there's a difference between picking your team and having the most talent. Not saying Scump is the victim tho, because he obviously didn't do the best job of picking some of these teammates he has had.

@@wad9799 Yea I agree the Mw19 roster was good, although it was stained with the weird gunless situation and having to pick up Prestinni last minute. And about Vanguard, I know a lot of people have "what-ifs" about that year regarding Illey and his injury, but I think that game had enough randomness that I don't think they were going to be the best team for the rest of the year or even necessarily for another tournament. A different team won every event until Thieves won the last 2. Anyway, long story short, with the Vanguard team having Prolute, and even General for a LAN, I just think it's yet another example of way overrating the teams Scump has been on.

Did Toronto shoot themselves in the foot As the title said, idk what toronto was thinking with the mapset. Why would you give optic their best map, specifically one they haven’t lost in this year. I also don’t know if they know how momentum works but that first map basically decides a series. You either kill their momentum while starting your own or (what happened) continue their momentum while killing your own. Since they killed their own and kept optics, the moment they lost map 2 the series was over. The same thing happened in champs and I don’t know how they haven’t learned from it. Why do teams also decide to give other teams their best maps? What’s the point of a coach to not point those things out?!?? Congrats optic
