Please give yourselves time to rest when your body/back sends pain. I used to work all day landscaping moving big rocks/bricks around. I felt pressure in my lower back but I ignored it and kept working. I decided to just move one move one more 100lb stump and herniated two lower disks. Off my feet for two months!

Greg, take a look at Smoky Mountain Outpost. Simple way to move logs. Bolt a hook on each top side of your bucket and get a couple of straps with loops on each end. Roll the log on to the straps and attach both ends to the hooks. Lift the bucket and the log safely. 10:21

A trash car hood makes a good skid tray to skid with. Back hoe makes a good stump root cutter and remover. When cutting, especially stumps, use a few wedges to prevent the weight from falling on the bar heating the chain and stretching it and possible bending your bar.

Greg needs to get a small welder and and make a grap-pull on the bucket for them logs. Welders are cheap now a days. Used it new. Talking 200 bucks for a 110 stick welder. It will only come in handy in the future. Every off grid home should own one. 😊

Too help solve the lack of forks dilemma, get a couple pcs of 2-3" wide angle iron about 3ft long and drill and bolt to the inside of the loader bucket with 3-4 bolts on each side, have the angle iron ends out about 2ft beyond the bucket corners,,but only use them for moving logs, not for digging up rocks or stumps, you've got a backhoe for that. Then when moving a log,Greg wouldn't have too roll them on with the cant hook, and stay out of the danger zone in front of the tractor when lifting and moving the wood,be safer- work smarter, not harder!!😎😎😎

Need to weld clevis grab hook onto the front bucket so you can use chain to tiedown logs you carry. You lift to high and the log can roll onto driver/operator or roll off and injure or kill someone near by.

You've got the lumber from your own land, rocks (back breaking, literally if you're not careful) locally, and the infill from your own place. Talk about "locally sourced"! The barn area looks quite large, so moving all those posts will require some ingenuity, but you both have that in spades. How much predator action is around? Spring brings out the feeding frenzy for the adult.

OK so not a lot of dough to buy specialized equipment. Consider this. Weld some grab hooks to your tractors bucket and carry some chain and a chain binder. You can turn the log loading into a one-man operation and make transport a lot safer.

👍👍👍👍👍❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️ remember hard work is good for the body but overuse of that body will turn on you as you age. Please think about that and try and not use brute force to move and deal with things if you can do it to where it doesn't put a major strain on your body and joints you will be glad you did as you age. Juniper with a little "bite" from the electric hooked to the fence should train her in a short time to leave it alone. Greg made sawing that big stump look like slicing a slice of cake👍

Hello Katie and Greg. Were you able to get the differential lock on the tractor to work? Sawing with Sandy has one of those tree de barkers. It fits a 7 or 9" angle grinder. One of his latest videos shows him using it. It is quick to remove the bark. There is a place in Canada that carries them. Have good days!
